We knew that this was a tent under the house with shared outdoor shower and toilet when we booked so we weren’t too surprised with the lack of privacy and basic facilities. The room was somewhat clean with a TV and fridge, but the space was small and there was an unsightly stain on the roof. The neighbours said they had mould on the roof of their tent, so we were grateful we didn’t get that room. The grounds were beautiful at first impressions but a lot has been let go and it wasn’t long before the shine wore off with outdated long life milk in the shared fridge, scraping the bottom of the shared jar of instant coffee and general grotty unkept state of the shared kitchen and outdoor area. Not so much fun hearing the guys in the neighbouring tent using the toilet throughout the night and even more challenging using the facilities after a couple of guys had used it a few times after their Friday night drinks. The solar light in the shower went out fairly quickly so needed to take my phone for light to use the shower. Breakfast was reasonable but the area was grotty and tired, it felt as if the owners had given up.

What a wonderful, relaxing, warm & welcoming experience? Cannot express how lovely Olympia is to make you, as her guest, feel more like family. I arrived later than anticipated and it was no problem to throw a few more veges in the oven, so that i could share & enjoy a wonderful roast dinner. And the hot breakfast the next morning.....OMG so delicious.
The setting is exceptional and the evening light show, spectacular. Do yourself a favour and pop on over for a stay.

We had a job well n Lamb Island and Olympia and Anthony accommodated us for a week. They were so accommodating and entertaining. We had breakfast included and the breakfast was amazing everyday, photos are only the first two days. They also invited us for a beautiful dinner in our last evening, we will definitely recommend Birdsong. .. and the cocktails were great too! Thank you Ant and Ola🌸

We lucked into a last second booking late in the afternoon on NYE, but still had enough time to catch a sunset ferry over to Birdsong before the end of the afternoon.
We were greeted by Anthony and Olympia (and a sizeable welcome cocktail), before having our minds blown by the facilities and location of their retreat.

Despite having a rain-filled stay, the weather didn't affect our experience at all. The accommodation is beyond clean, expansive and absolutely stunning. Ant & Ola were incredibly welcoming, and always available during the stay. Not to mention the nightly rate, which is an absolute STEAL.

Couldn't recommend Birdsong enough (particularly for couples), and can't wait to go back.

Highly recommended, went for a short 2 night getaway, with my partner, we were picked up by Anthony who gave us the grand tour of the island, which was awesome, top bloke!!
we Met Olympia when we got back to the B&B, and we were both impressed with the room, I'm not a camping person but my partner is and it was inbetween like glamping type style, comfy bed, great wifi, smart tv all the comforts of home but in such an amazing peaceful location.
Thank you so much for our stay, we will definitely be back

Spent over a week in Birdsong retreat and it was everything I could imagine and more. Olympia and Anthony are super welcoming, very warm and down to earth people and the surroundings of the property very relaxing enjoyed every bit of it.

Birdsong Retreat B & B is fabulous! Stayed there for 2 nights & wish I could have lingered longer. 5 stars all the way - highly recommended.

Gorgeous property- beautiful, clean living/sleeping. Delicious breakfast of local produce. Olympia and Ant are amazing hosts. Highly recommend.
