My family had the best time staying here. We stayed in the 3 bedroom poolside cabin and had ample space for our family of 5. Our cabin had two separate bathrooms so It was great not having to share a bathroom with the kids! Our cabin even had a full kitchen and dishwasher so less time cleaning up and more time spent by the pool and waterslide, which was a hit for all three kids. My older two had fun playing volleyball with some other kids they met in the park. Grace in the office was super helpful and suggested a sand boarding tour and some local cafes. She went above and beyond and even remembered the kids’ names when we came back to check- out. This is our second time staying and we already can’t wait to come back!

We had a great family camping trip to Bays Big 4 Holiday park. The site was great, the facilities clean and tidy, and the staff were excellent. Special mention to Steve who had helped my wife jump start her car as the battery had died. Much appreciated!

Disappointed in our stay. Value for money was poor for the facilities provided. Pool photos were deceiving, minimal outdated toilets and showers - which in the peak season made them dirtier so quickly. No drainage for caravan, not even grass or concrete slabs for sites. There were so many bindies so not even having a slab was a pain with the kids especially. Pedal carts weren’t available to hire as they don’t operate in the peak season kids were told - even though advertised. Pool was shut for a day because of a kid contaminating the water - there is no other water option for kids. Peak of summer, and at $190 a night being the most expensive Big4 park I’ve stayed at, I would hope there was a back up option.
We did try to speak to staff about our concerns at our stay which were dismissed, I tried to leave a night early and explained my dissapointment requesting a refund for a night, this was denied. I did send a follow up email with my feedback which hasn’t been responded to or acknowledged and it’s been a month since our stay.

My biggest concern was value for money. If I spent $100/$120 per night in peak season I would understand, but at the rate we paid I would at least expect boom gates at the park for security reasons, which we did see the police in the park at one point.

Not impressed at all. We booked a few cabins here for a weekend away. Very expensive considering location and amenities. The park is small and run down. Our fridge wasn’t working on arrival. The maintenance guy tried to find us a solution as best he could however an old rusty, and mouldy bar fridge placed on the kitchen floor of a very small cabin wasn’t the best solution ( it was the only solution he could provide at the time and they did get a new fridge on the day we were leaving). It was stinking hot so we turned on our air conditioner and it flooded the lounge room of the cabin. It was also fixed but is an inconvenience and indicated a lack of maintenance. Cabin sleeps 6 people, you get a 2x seater lounge. The main bed was a small double bed, very uncomfortable for 2 people. With a noisy fan in the room making intermittent whirling noises and the bushes scraping along the windows in the middle of the night with the slightest breeze meant I didn’t get to sleep until 2am and that was because I was totally exhausted and ended up on the lounge. The pool is small in comparison to the deceptive photos on the website. It’s the peak of summer and the pool opens at 10am and closes at 7pm, while the sun is still up and it is hot. I watched so many kids come to the pool in the morning to swim and walk away disappointed. It is located in the middle of nowhere, you can’t walk to a beach or anywhere like that. Going anywhere requires you leave the park in a car and drive there. Only one of our cabins had a bbq. There is 1x bbq at the communal kitchen for the entire park to use. I’ve been to many holiday parks and this was far from impressive, particularly when considering the exorbitant prices they charge. I wouldn’t recommend the place and would give 1 star if it wasn’t for the fact the staff were courteous and did their best to accomodate us.

The park is extremely run down. We stayed in a studio cabin. The cabin was not cleaned. The floor was filthy and there were lipstick residue on both the wine glasses and the coffee mugs left from previous guests. The reception hours are not practical, 9.00am - 5.00pm. No staff were monitoring the park and there was no security, anyone could just drive in at any time. Bays Holiday Park is absolutely NOT up to the Big 4 standards. Photos on website are deceiving and not a true reflection of the park at all. Paid for 2 nights but only stayed the one, we certainly were not staying another night.

Booked a weekend away for two nights, but we only end up staying one night. The facility was filthy cockroaches and dirty bedsheets and towels. The fridge was broken so we couldn’t keep our food cool. The only redeeming features of the place was the pool. Services was not the best and not really welcoming

Definitely not up to standards of a big four park. Pool is half the sized in pictures , kids amenities is run down, 1 ping pong table for a park full of people is ridiculous. One of the Grounds keeper is rude and arrogant , they shut the pool and pillow way to early . We have pool side cabin and $3800 for seven nights is not worth the price at all . Does not exceed expectations of a big four. Parks on the premises are scabby and run down low grounds maintained , cob webs etc. this place is not worth the value for the money . Our cabin had a 3 seater lounge for a family of 7/8 , reception wifi lags . Will never book this place again. Office opens too late and closes too early . Kids trikes are available in the peak heat of the day .

Was very disappointed in this place! The photos are very deceiving! The place needs maintenance and doesn't look like it has had any for a very long time. The office is closed from 11:30-12pm so if you get there for check in just before you're made to wait until all the staff are back from their break. This was not communicated either. The people who arrived before us paid for early check in and got there at 11:30 and was made to wait. For a BIG 4, I expected better. We paid $190 per night for a powered site which was grass and dirt. The roads are gravel so no good for kids with scooters. The toilets have signs they are cleaned a few times a day but the showers were filthy when we went in. There is only 6 showers in the whole park. The bare minimum was done cleaning. The pool was dirty and merky. There was hair and debris floating in it the first day. It was closed the second day early for "maintenance" but the following day, water was still merky. It is not up to big 4 standards. There is also no boom gate so security isn't great. When we complained to management about the toilets and showers being filthy they said "that's unfortunate. I would never stay here again!
