Manager at reception is super lovely! Even came to our door to give us chocolates for Easter! Was very accommodating and great us a great deal ❤️ recommend.. perfect value For price . I stayed in king suite with spa.

Clean rooms. Few maintenance issues, minor and only notice if in room using it. Left note for them so informed.
Rooms we very clean, staff we approachable, cleaning ladies were lovely.. funny watching the cocky try steal biscuits off cleaners trolley.
With in walking distance to major chops about 800mtrs up road. Fast food 200mtrs, delicious kebab shop about 50-100mtrs. Can not complain and will use again when needed.

Booked through wotif for one nights stay for work. Contact the motel to let them know we will be needing an extra night. The motel said to change the booking on wotif so we did. The next day we Left home and drove to the motel and arrived late around 9pm after car trouble just to be told we have only booked for one night which is the next night and not tonight. After 45 minutes back and forth showing booking itinerary and screenshots of booking confirmation the motel owner lilly would not hear of it. A call was made to Expedia (wotif's parent company) to explain to lilly that she is wrong and made a mistake but all she wanted to do was argue even with Expedia. Expedia gave up trying to explain to lilly she was in the wrong so they then allowed us to cancel both nights without penalty against lillys will.

We went to quest in bundoora straight after we left best Western and got a room right away, quest saved the day!!!
Never in a million years would I book to stay at Best Western again, I'd rather sleep on the side of the road than give these clowns my money.

I had the most unprofessional experience with the manager "Lilly" or as she said her name was.
I am a residence in Sydney, going to Melbourne for a weekend. I called up once to ask a question about a room to book as online wasnt clear with the room for booking. The "manager" or "Lilly" had so much attitude and spoke to me as if I was a child. When I asked her to not speak to me in that tone, she raised her voice even louder and continued to speak to me with disrespect.
I am disgusted with this service and DO NOT RECOMMEND this place!!!

Would 100000% recommend you stay AWAY from this place! "Lilly" is incredibly rude. Will argue to the death that she is right even though paper work infront of her confirms what she's saying is false and incorrect. Her demeanour is condescending, arrogant and obnoxious. At one point she went to smack my hand from the computer screen when I pointed out where she got it wrong. How this place is still running with customer service like this is beyond me.
Stay at Bundoora Quest hotel instead. 5 minute drive, beautifully presented, clean & modern rooms and helpful, polite staff. And the rooms are only $10 dearer then the "worst western mill Park dive hotel"

Booked the room at 1030 on same night as staying. Arrived to find reception closes at 10pm. Guest had managers number who's name was Phill, he came down sorted it out. Legend.

I Watched Tv for an hour on low volume and went to sleep. Was woken by a knock at the door at 1030am. When i opened the door, the blonde cleaning lady
looked me up n down (im tall with tatts and dreadlocks)

What should of been said - Excuse me sir its past checkout time, are you booking for another night, if not can you please checkout as we need to clean the room.

What was said -
"Can we inspect the room please" (tone of voice was VERY absent of please if ya get my drift)

"I said who are you?"

"Its past checkout time we need to clean the room"

I Said id slept in and would be out in 5.
No thank you or anything just turned and walked away.

Felt very judged and unvalued and angry.
Tried to talk to the girl at the front desk, she said there were complaints from both rooms on either side about the tv being to loud.

I said the walls need insulation then and suggested she turn the tv on and see what volume it was on.

She said, no you should of watched the TV on mute!!!!

Called her entitled to which she replied, "im the owners daughter what do you expect!

Flabbergasted is a word.
Never been treated like that at any hotel ive stayed in.

Blonds name was Terry. Owners daughter wouldnt tell me her name. Absolutly pathetic. Will never stay again. Only good thing about the entire experience was Phill.

Edit 15/1/25 - Agoda contacted me with a $9 gift card and a thank you, for pointing out that you shouldn't be allowed to book a hotel for the same day if the receptions closed. Will try not to spend it all at once.

Black mould in the shower, bed was broken, front door didn't close properly and cobwebs everywhere. Would not recommend asked if they have charge back and they don't. Asked for breakfast at 7:30 which they advertise was told no as they will have paperwork to do and breakfast won't be available till 8:30-9.
