An awesome pub for that end of the day beer, wine, spirit or non-alcoholic drink with your work mates to just chill out 😎, forget about work, watch some sport on the big screens, have a feed and take in the views from the top floor or have a punt in the pokie room or the tab - strategically separated from those who don't enjoy this past time.

We happened to miss the Friday lunch crowd which most of the time is a packed house yet space can always be found for those seeking a feed 😁

We have made the Bells our regular Friday watering 🕳, plenty of street parking and good service.

We had an event here for F1. Service was mostly good, and atmosphere was nice too from the rooftop deck.

But the food was just OK—chicken schnitzel was perfectly cooked but the gravy was super bland store mix. My friend's steak sandwich looked questionable with American cheese topping. Schooner of cider was $12 which seemed a bit high. And the servers had issues delivering the food to the right people/tables and we had to figure out who had what food all throughout the night despite a sign system.

My boyfriend and I always choose Bells Hotel for our special occasion, because we were #1 fans of the pesto pasta with chicken and the chicken with the beautiful white cream.. But unfortunately Today we came for my bday and we noticed they change the menu and they took out our favs meals, now we will wait to hopefully they are back or find somewhere can be as delicious as here. But as always, we love the atmosphere and the staff is always so nice. The photo of my bf’s bday when we ate our favs meals haha

Have been coming to this venue for many years and have watched the gradual transformation of this place. The external facade and bar downstairs have been maintained in the almost heritage-style feel of the original pub, while the remaining spaces, including those upstairs have been expanded and upgraded. To the extent that it is now quite a popular venue for weddings, larger functions, to simply watch sport or for just a casual drink. The service and atmosphere has remaining relaxed and casual. The menu changes from time to time and is coupled with standard pub fare. The food itself is tasty, well-portioned and reasonably priced. As it is somewhat removed from the busier part of South Melbourne, parking is usually not a problem.

It's been 20 years since I've been here, and what a change! The old dindgy pub is gone with bright new areas and fantastic food. We were in a bit of a rush so just got burgers. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Won't wait for another 20 years before we're back!
