What an amazing experience going on this tour with Anita. The tour really stood out as one of those truly memorable days with so much variety of art works to admire and being able to meet and talk to the artists in their own homes was wonderfull. Ferry hopping between the islands was fun and walking through bush tracks, along streets and a bit of beach with healthy light lunch served by Anita at her own beautiful sanctuary. Thanks for sharing your bit of paradise Anita your tour is definitely high quality due to your presentation. Ill be back to experience your art tour next time in the not too distant future. I can't wait.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our day out on all islands tour with Anita. Anita is very knowledgeable, interesting, and welcoming. She showed us some amazing nature spots around the islands and took us to a honey farm to buy some delicious homemade honey. She also introduced us to several artists who live and create on these islands, and she even walked us through the house of one of them, which was quite an experience on its own. Thank you, Anita, again for a lovely day. I can certainly highly recommend this tour.

I really loved this tour, I went with my partner. There was a variety of things to see and do. Anita was our guide she is extremely knowable of the stories, history, and sub-culture of each of the 4 islands. We had a good mix of walking and driving, felt safe and well looked after, we got to meet a few of the locals too. The tour was very personalised to what we were interested in with a good mix of art, scenery, history, and of course food. Anita provide a light breakfast at the Community Art Gallery on Russel Island, and a Instagram worthy platter of delights for lunch including edible plants from her own garden along with olives, cheese, and salami meats. Anita made sure we were safe and happy the whole time, and even provided sun cream and bug spray if we needed it. It's Amazing we could have such an adventure so close to the city. These island are certainty under rated, but defiantly worth your time.

We had an absolutely lovely day with Anita exploring Macleay & Karragarra Islands. Anita was professional, friendly, super knowledgeable and very patient with our requests and questions. There wasn’t any questions she couldn’t answer which was extremely impressive. Morning tea and lunch was provided, it was delicious and fresh and Anita and a local artist called Robyn made the perfect hosts. It was lovely to see some of the local art scene and to meet some locals. Thanks Anita for a lovely day.

Having just spent yesterday with Anita on her bay island adventure tour ! I highly recommend this unique and beautiful experience, I learnt so much about nature, the natural island world, seeing stunning art and having an amazing lunch at her home. If you are looking for some real island magic and a guide who is so knowledgeable this a must do your for you. The islands are so special.. Living in Qld most of my life I have finally got to see them ! Thanks Anita!!

This tour takes a full day with some medium grade walking through bushland. The island scenery is lovely and the tour gives an insight into island life as it is now and how it used to be including information about indigenous life and culture. Anita does a great job of coordinating the ferry timetables and taxis to get around the islands without the feeling of being rushed. Simple but fresh foods are provided for morning tea and lunch. The art house on Russell Is is something special and a privilege to visit. Enjoyed the day and Anita's flow of commentary.

How amazing to know that there are package tours where you can imbibe with art, beach, and nature in a tour to suit your fitness and interests so close to Brisbane city. Our guide Anita has amazing knowledge about the locations, art and history of every island. She made sure we had sun cream and bug repellent and the tour was made up of a good mix of walking and driving. Russel Island is where we visited their community art gallery where we had a lite breakfast of coffee and locally made fruit toast (the best I’ve tasted). A must-see with art made by locals in the community-made, on our tour the artworks were made with recyclable and interesting materials, but the exhibitions change regularly. Russel Island is the most developed of the four, the highlight of Russel Island was Kinga’s Place where you can experience an Alice in Wonderland-like adventure of art, paintings and collectible pieces collected or produced by her over 14 years. Kinga is a polish art collector. The second one is Lamb island where we had to walk cross quietly in the lake and you can witness various species of birds and a visited honey farm. Make sure to bring cash with you so that you can purchase honey as they don’t have Eftpos. The third one is Macleay Island where Anita’s home is located. Anita offered fresh vegetables and fruits from her garden where we had this Instagram worthy platter of finger foods (Olives, Cheese nuts, crackers, dips, dried fruits, salami meats). The last island we visited is Karragarra Island, where we had to walk in the shore but due to limited time, we never had the chance to visit the whole island where there are more interesting sculptures and scenery and you can definitely swim there. I recommend getting a Go Card and topping it up as it works out a lot cheaper than buying tickets for the ferry’s and you can get your $10 deposit for the card refined when you return the card. You only need to tap your Go card on and off for the first and last trip as the interisland trips are free. Overall this is very affordable and excellent value for a day out with Anita on Islands that are definitely underrated and don’t get as many tourists.

My husband and I have been living in Brisbane for over 30 years and apart from Stradbroke and Moreton Islands knew very little of what existed in Moreton Bay other than very negative views of some islands, as we had seen no positive promotions from government tourism or other bodies, until we came across Bay Islands Art Scenic Tours on Facebook and we have been very pleasantly surprised in what we have discovered thanks to the help of this tour and very surprised that these hidden gems have not been promoted in the past.
Thanks to Anita and her wealth of knowledge opened up a whole new world to me personally, with my interest in arts and crafts and to my husband who has a keen interest in aquatic and other outdoor activities. Sadly that this takes someone who is not even Australian the initiative to study and learn about the fruits and pleasures of what we have found in Lamb, Russell, Macleay and Karragarra Islands.
We have certainly had ours eyes opened up to these wonders and will in future bring interstate and overseas visitors to these islands
