This is my favourite winery in SA! I came here in 2014 and have returned in 2025. It’s a family run winery that sell vegan/organic wine. The tastings take place in their little cottage house, with their friendly staff (owner Louise, quirky Rebecca and their doggies) and you’re welcome to enjoy a cheeseboard and some additional wine after your tastings. It’s $10 a tasting and you redeem that when buying wine. Super affordable compared to others.
Highly recommend this winery 💛🍷

We came across the Battle about 4 years ago while camping out in our caravan in McLaren Vale. We fell in love first sight, although we remembered this winery from the ‘old days’. After a week tasting in the region, we dropped by and became members of the 1485 club. A great experience every time we visit wonderful Jane behind the counter or when we open a bottle at home. We love Jock’s winemaking skills: taste of the earth, sun and craftsmanship in every glass. Puritan for a lunch date with friends, White Boar for more serious business. Then again, we keep their other Shiraz close by. We love their Chardonnays (super drops). Overall, great wine experience. Jock and Louise
and their family are so very passionate about their vineyards. No frills, great knowledge, true love and beautiful wines dressed in beautiful labels.

What a find! We had such a great time here and loved ALL the wines... which made it hard to select a dozen! Such a beautiful property and such lovely/knowledgeable staff. Would recommend to anyone who likes a 'boutique' winery experience, with a large selection of wines. Only $10 per tasting too, redeemable on purchase of wine. Thank you BoB Wines!

We came to Battle of Bosworth on a rainy Saturday and it was absolutely gorgeous. There was one very personable girl helping us with the tasting, and I believe Louise, the owner, was also there ensuring the lovely fire was lit - her little dog Jet was pottering around enjoying the pats from visitors.
The wines are very understated but delicious and palatable, and they have a great range even including orange wine! (some of the beautiful wine labels have drawings of flowers that were sourced from vintage seed packets). The whole space is extremely inviting and feels warm and relaxing - the exact vibe we were looking for on a quiet winter Saturday. Will definitely return! 🙂

Nice quaint cellar door with free tastings. Views from here are amazing 🤩 the wines are all organic and vegan (too my knowledge) if that’s your thing. Wines are good but but not 100% for me personally. Still worth checking out as my palette is different from others. Definitely want to come back and try the beers when they are on tasting

What an absolute gem of a winery. Very picturesque place with super down to earth owners and staff. What brought us here was our own little story of love. We celebrated our engagement with a bottle of their sweet pea Moscato, purchased in Brisbane and cracked open in Bald rock, Tenterfield. We had to visit as our piece of love is connected. Thank you for producing some wonderful wine! Your Organic Shiraz is in my opinion the best in the McLaren!

This winery never disappoints, both Reds and Whites are excellent. A very informative and relaxed white tasting experience. A must visit if you are visiting the McLaren Vale wine region.

Lovely cellar door, with a handsome Oscar who steals the show. Staff were friendly too. Patted the dog, had a tasting, bought some wine and some cheese. Great cellar door.
