I travelled from Sydney and was too early for hotel check in and had an important work meeting. The reviews of noise nearly put me off - don't listen to them.
There was no additional noise than any other public space and they even have a silent room which was so helpful to work in!
The staff here are beyond friendly and helped me so much by providing me a space to have my meeting.
Great space and staff! (Thanks so much again!)

I need to express my thanks to Janelle and all the staff at the Batemans Bay Library for their kindness and always being there to help with their knowledge of all things books and computers. They are always ready to assist with anything. I have found the staff to be friendly and actually a great source of information about Batemans Bay too. The library offers many opportunities to engage in activities and make new friends if that is what you need. Terrible library, the staff is inconsiderate and noisy, talking on the phone with the speaker on, big groups arrived and never stopped talking to one another even after complaining to the staff they proceeded to say "If it's to noisy then leave" I purposely sat in the "quiet zone" to get some work done and more people came and sat there talking loudly, listening to music and videos without headphones in and was constantly on the phone, once again with the speaker on. If you are wanting to actually get some work done and be in a quiet space save your time and do not come here.

Mary, Leanne and Janelle are fantastic staff with the children I bring each week for story time and also baby rhyme time. They always include all my family day care children that I bring each week. The storys, songs and games are always related to the childrens ages. The family day care children always ask each week if we are going to the library so they really look forward to it as well. Thanks so much for having such an awesome program for my 0-5 years children during school terms. The library is so accommodating for children able to be children in the library to learn and have fun!

Unfortunately a staff member was officious and unhelpful. I just wanted to ask one question (about the adjacent basket ball centre) but the staff member talked over me and would not listen. Covid being the justification. Excessive, unnecessary and uncooperative.

Friendly staff, but the noisiest Library I've been too in the world, even during covid restrictions. Tried to come in and do some university work and all I can hear is very loud staff and customers. No one speaking in hushed tones which is standard for any Library. Disappointing
