Our group had travelled from Hervey Bay to Canberra on the Wall to Wall Remembrance ride, staying at small hotels each night. Our return route took us through Barraba, staying at the Barraba Motel. Our impression of the town was of a small quaint country town, filled with beautiful old buildings and very friendly locals.

We had a fantastic experience with the Barraba Motel. My room was on Queen St and consisted of a “shous” (a shed converted into a house). Very spacious and comfortable with reverse cycle AC, very clean and well appointed. The bed was great, with clean sheets and great pillows. The shower was awesome, with great water pressure and an abundance of hot water. The Motel is located on the quiet side of town with a short 500m walk to the local pub for an awesome steak diner. There are no taxis in Barraba, as such Peter offered to give us a lift to the pub for diner. However, we declined the kind offer in favour of a pleasant short walk to take in the sights the architecture offered. The staff were friendly and helpful, we will definitely be staying here again!!!

The room is very dated. But it was clean, comfy bed and pillows. Shower took a few minutes to heat up, but there's a notice that warns you of that.
Celing fan, air conditioning. Heater. Everything works.
Would happily stay again.

Great small country town motel. Great service, loved the room, bit of a walk to town but I enjoy looking around the towns, especially the back streets.

Top quality bedding and meticulously clean, we were pleased to spend another night here on a golfing trip to Barraba. We did try to stay a second night but there was no availability, a testament to the accommodation and the friendly staff.|We have already booked a return trip. |The motel is centrally located and it was an easy walk to the Bowling Club for the raffles and Chinese dinner on Friday night.|The rooms had excellent air conditioners and I really liked the electric blanket to keep me warm as winter creeps up.|Thanks for having us!

Don't let the outside appearance deter you. This is an old motel but I found it very comfortable and very clean, the owners are very helpful and friendly. The parking is good and it is very quiet. The bed was good but would say bring your own pillow. Good hot shower with plenty of hot water. The room was equipped with microwave, fridge and toaster and crockery and knives, forks and spoons. Rooms are air conditioned and also have a fan with light. Price was excellent for the accommodation provided. Body wash provided but no tissues which would be good if they were provided. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of motels so I am always looking for a good deal as well as comfort and this motel meets the bill. The motel is within walking distance to the main street and close to the showground/racecourse and service station. If you are arriving in Barraba after 7PM make sure you have brought food as everything is well and truly closed by 8pm.
