My young daughter and I had a fabulous meal at the Barooga Hotel with my sister and her family.
The staff were friendly, helpful and professional despite several difficult customers over the dinner service.
I found my medium rare steak to be cook perfectly with a delightfully flavoursome char.
Great job guys!

Visited in early Jan with group of friends. Stayed in newly constructed cabins. Clean, spacious with very comfortable beds and good air conditioning. The staff at Barooga hotel were super friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault service and live music in beer garden with decent pub grub topped our experience. Highly recommend. The area is a beautiful spot with lots to do and see.

We visited on the weekend and were very impressed. The renovations are adding greatly to the friendly country pub atmosphere. The owner Steve and his staff are super friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. We ate dinner in the modern verandah overlooking the river gums and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommended

A group of us went having never been to the area and stayed in their cabins for 3 nights. We had an amazing time in the pub and the area! The team running the place couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. They had plenty going on with live music, good food and lively, fun venue 🙂

We stayed at a free beach camp nearby and visited Barooga Pub. What a lovely surprise to see the guy playing a double neck guitar with an amazing voice and great repertroir of songs including a cover of a popular opera number. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back for dinner the next night. Wood fired pizza was ok and beer & wine cheap. Well worth a visit.

Hi we had dinner here tonight in the bistro we were greeted buy a manager who didn't have a clue told us he was drunk .. orders got messed up and forgot one of the kids meals . He was drunk and was acting like a clown in the kitchen and was swearing in front of our kids . I could see alot of people were getting frustrated with this guy even the employees meals were terrible definitely highly recommended not stopping in to this place

Pretty average lunch. When the food comes out that fast… I get concerned.
Schnitzel was like a giant chicken nugget. Dry and tasteless. Gravy was lumpy, lumpy from being sat in a warmer for a while or something similar. Lunch was more like something you’re going to get at a roadside restaurant. I feel a bit ripped off paying $26 for what I was presented with.
Walking into the bistro to order was like walking into some kind of gambling den. Depressing. Hopefully it’s temporary while construction is underway.
I also can’t understand the fans on the verandah that emit a mist. Doesn’t seem to cool the place, rather makes it feel more like a garden hot house. Humid.
Looking for a good local while we’re up here, think we’ll keep looking.
