l had a 30 minute 🛩 flying lesson here along with my flatmate. l was absolutely terrified but my flying instructor was incredible. Even though he was only 19 he was extremely competent, professional and friendly. He put me right at ease. He took off and landed the 2 seater small plane effortlessly. Once in the air he talked me through what was to happen next which was he was going to let me fly the plane which l did and it was terrifying. lt was ver loud inside the plane. We wore headphones and he communicated with me through a headset. The whole time he was very reassuring and calm. l was drenched in a sweat by the time we landed and l realised flying just wasn't for me but l am proud of myself for doing it anyway!

Ok it doesn’t get any fancier than Bankstown for refueling. Call the number in the ERSA and a refueling truck comes to your plane….just like an airline, I’ve joined the big league now! Great airport with some complex airspace entry and exit. Read the ERSA and you’ll be fine. ATC are very straight forward and give clear direction.

Disruptive circuit noise over people's homes every 2 minutes. No consideration or common sense for the effect on the many surrounding communities.

There is nothing 5 stars about this so called airport. Taxi ways are run down, hangars have seen better days. Did you know not a single new hangar has been built in decades? Yet they continue to charge astronomical fees to rent.

I am however really delighted to see the amount of commercial development around this so called airport because they will bring in ACTUAL JOBS to this area.

Great airport, cheap fees was able to fly my Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner out of here with no problem. This airport is large enough to handle the biggest of the biggest, including the AN225. Therefore I give YSBK a 5/5.
