One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at and always like to stay here when I come to Ballina just adds to an already beautiful town. Staying here is worth a visit alone to Ballina. The rooms are a mix of new & old style all handled with tender care. The rooms are spacious with so many wonderful features including all the basics plus biscuits, hot chocolate, green tea, cleaning wipes, water jug and all sorts of kitchen utensils. The bed is the best I’ve slept on, bathroom very updated, place is quiet with next to no noise from other rooms, there’s an outdoor area, nice pool and easy walking access to the Ballina river walking track. Andre, Sebastian and all the team are really amazing. Keep up the great work.

This was our second stay at Ballina Palms Boutique Motel, as part of a Sydney to Brisbane road trip. As with our first stay, we found the room spacious, comfortable and very clean, with great amenities. This time we arrived and departed outside of office hours, but the check in and check out process was well communicated and very easy. As it happened, I left my iPad in the room. I didn't realise until a few hours after we left, when Andre called to let me know! And offered to post it to me. That was much appreciated. I'm sure we will stay again on a future road trip.

Such an understated place to stay. They have toiletries that many places don’t have anymore including the 5 stars hotels. The room is spacious and clean. Would definitely add this to my top place to stay.

Beautiful, very clean and well maintained motel. Very comfortable stay, rooms are spacious and well maintained with all amenities easily available. |Great facilities with easy access to swimming pool. Parking is very easy in front of the room. Motel management is very friendly and looking after any customer need or requirement. Highly recommend.

Andre the owner and the staff, were very friendly and accommodating with an earlier check in. Room size was spacious and comfortable beds. Very well appointed kitchen and bathroom facilities. Robes were also available for use which is rare for a motel. Felt very safe and secure having the owner on site. Great hidden little gem!. Would happily stay again 🙂

We booked a room for 3 people at Ballina Palms Boutique Motel and had already informed them about our estimated time of arrival, mentioning we might be a bit late. Unfortunately, while traveling from Sydney, our car had a mechanical issue, causing a significant delay, and we arrived at around 6:30 AM. Considering this unforeseen situation, we politely requested a late check-out for just 2 extra hours so we could rest, as we were completely exhausted. However, the staff refused outright with no understanding or flexibility.

Additionally, the room was far from clean—bed sheets were sticky, and the sofa chair was covered in visible dirty marks, as shown in the attached photos. The staff was non-cooperative, and the overall experience was very disappointing. Definitely not recommended to anyone.

Unfortunately, during our journey from Sydney, our car broke down, causing a significant delay, and we didn’t arrive until around 6:30 AM. To make matters worse, the room was poorly maintained. The bed sheets were sticky, and the sofa chair was visibly stained, as shown in the attached photos. The staff’s lack of cooperation only added to the disappointment. Overall, the experience was incredibly frustrating, and I cannot recommend this motel to anyone.

Really lovely spacious rooms. We have a kitchenette too! Very clean and a fabulous quiet pool. Had a lovely relaxing swim after tea.
