Truly spectacular food!! Wowww. There is so much ambition, generosity, and realness involved here. I highly commend the Korean Chicken, dumplings (the chef makes the dumpling skin from scratch, insane!!), wagyu beef tacos, calamari, silken tofu. Havent tried everything yet but it’s such an exciting menu, and in all dishes we’ve had so far there is attention to detail, authentic ingredients and beautiful balance. Such warm and gracious hospitality also!! Thank you for making our evenings so enjoyable Francesco, Clara, Luffy and Dion

First visit here, it’s only just opened, and we will return in a couple of months, but our experience wasn’t all that good in any aspect.
Initial arrival greeting was very enthusiastic, which suggested a focus on service. Alas, it was rather hit and miss — uncoordinated is probably the best description.
We chose our own dishes from the menu: the lobster/prawn/scallop dumplings came quickly, and were excellent — fresh ingredients, freshly steamed. Thereafter, things declined, probably because we chose hibachi grilled foods — chicken yakatori, snapper and finger eggplant. All were overcooked and almost dry, especially the snapper.

Thereafter seemed to be poor communication with the kitchen, leading to delays and — apart from our first dumpling course — all dishes were left on our table after completion. This is ok if there’s space but there wasn’t.
At lunchtime on a Friday, the main room was quite busy, which made things rather noisy.
A lot of these issues are common to newly-opened venues, so I will look forward to returning, hoping they’ve improved.

Absolutely loved everything about Azuma Den! We were treated like VIP’s the whole night. The staff are delightful and very attentive which was impressive considering how busy it was but they never seemed rushed or stressed.
The food was fantastic. The pork ribs were so tender and the fried Korean Chicken was even better than expected. The signature cocktails are a ‘must try’ a great twist on the regular line up.
We loved the personal touch of the chef coming to our table to ask about our meal. He is such a talent and so humble, just really lovely. It’s hard to believe this place has only been up and running for a month! Clara definitely knows what she’s doing. A fantastic team and a delicious menu. Loved it.
We will definitely be back the next time we are in Canberra.

Brand new restaurant- brand new find. Located in the East Hotel in Kingston this restaurant ticks a lot of boxes for style, service and food. A modern Korean with a touch of Japanese cuisine and style. Each dish - Edamame, Scallops, Jjampong (spicy noodle soup), Jun fried (boneless) chicken (sweet and spicy) and Crème Brûlée were excellent. The noodle soup was spicy and the chicken was crunchy, tasty and mildly spiced. All dishes recommended. The staff were super friendly and provided excellent service. You won’t be disappointed. Tip - parking can be hard around the popular area but you can park below the East Parking and have your parking for free after dining at the restaurant.i also recommend booking in advance.

I saw this lovely new restaurant on an email from Region Canberra, my partner and o booked for lunch last Saturday. It was amazing. Food spectacular, service impeccable. Great location easy to park. The food was some of the best in Canberra we’ve experienced. The Wagyu Tatarstan tacos, the wagyu hibachi impeccable, the snapper- absolutely stunning. The wine list is fantastic. Our new favourite. You will need to book ahead once word gets out!

I had dinner here with my best friends, and I’m so glad I did. Each and every item we ordered was unique, impeccably delicious, and beautifully made to look pretty on the plate, the service was outstanding and all the staff were so lovely (special thanks to Emma). My girlfriend who prefers vegetarian options often is disappointed with restaurant’s lack of vegetarian options, but this was not an issue whatsoever we had a plethora of delicious vego options and a multitude of meat ones too, including, my favourite, the pork ribs (they are to die for). The drinks were also superb I had every single one of the cocktails and every single one, one after another was better than the last I loved the pear martini the most, and would recommend it! To sum up I had an amazing time and it is now my new fav Japanese/Korean restaurant!!

The food at Azuma Den was excellent. We had a variety of entrees and mains and all were delicious, we particularly recommend the slow cooked beef short rib as well as the lobster, prawn and scallop dumplings. The service was also incredible with kind and attentive staff. We will definitely be coming back (with all of our friends and family)!

This is our second time at Azuma Den. Despite the first visit being less than ideal in the service department, it is night and day tonight for us. The team is extremely welcoming, meticulous in giving the best service, taking the time to explain the dishes to us. I particularly enjoy the scallops and in-house green tea ice-cream, highly recommended. Will definitely be coming back with friends and family. Thank you Azuma team!
