Excellent experience. Peter is just a gem at his job - Avis should give him a bonus and get people to learn from him, though I suspect he’s just a great character in himself. He was just so helpful, communicative, understanding, and generous. He understood my situation when hiring a car, asked the right questions, and helped with each little part that he could. Thanks so much, I was truly impressed. This is the sort of thing that will mean I come back in future, Peter just nails it.

Got a new KIA car. We rented for 3 days for only around 100ish AUD. Need to pay deposit fee for around 200 AUD. If you pay with debit card, you will need to wait for 5-7 days. Credit card only takes 1-2 days.

Edit: for international debit cards, it takes more than 30 days. Wasn't informed about this, kind of disappointed.

Smokers don't go there, if you have self respect and don't want to get discriminated dont go there. They have 30 years of experience of discriminating people. They wouldn't tell you this while booking you in and humiliate in public. Dont go there.

Booked a moving truck overnight. I booked and collected the truck midway through the business relocation but the staff were still extremely friendly and helpful despite still getting settled in the new address. Truck was modern, comfortable to drive and well maintained.

Last minute phone around to try and find a van and all I can say is that I'm glad that I phoned Avis Wollongong and had the pleasure of dealing with Peter on the phone. Went into pick up the van and just like on the phone his customer service, commitment, dedication, professionalism, competitive rate offered just to name a few and I literally was blown away with how well Peter conducts himself. Decided to keep the van for an extra day and spoke to Chloe over the phone and can you believe it she was more than happy to accommodate my needs with this rental, no issues, resolved over the phone, the customer service, commitment to name a few once again was unbelievable. If I ever need to hire a truck, van or car I'll be definitely going to see Peter and Chloe at Avis Wollongong and will be telling my family and friends about them as well.
