Had a great time away having this car through Avis.
Really happy with how easy I was able to arrange to hire and collect the car over the internet and counter service in person when picking it up were great.
Although, check your fuel tank before you head off and anything else which could be an issue not made by you.
Mine (Kia) had a 3/4 fuel tank (remembering that the tank must be full returned). When it was addressed at the counter, I was given another vehicle within minutes.
I was fortunate to be given this alternative car make and model. Although, the basic secondary control functions eg. indicators on the left hand side and wiper right hand side. If you're not familiar with this it would be a good idea to inquire initially.

Super friendly. Hired a car on Friday as our car broke down and returned it Monday. Had issues with my car so they gave me an allowance at no extra cost which was super nice of them. Would highly recommend.

Pretty horrific experience with Avis. Rented a bus for a trip with some mates and it broke down and had no air con the whole time. We were stuck on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere when it broke down and received no assistance from Avis. They simply said they don’t cover any issues with getting us home. Very disappointed and will not be a returning customer.

I have recently found the need to use this company in my journey to purchase a new car. I've been through a very difficult time, but the people who work at the wendouree car rental went out of their way to help me , WOW, what a lovely company I can't speak highly enough, in particular I would like to thank Ian and Sue they are so kind we had a laugh. KIM, Darcy,Emma, Tim, Simon, and Chelsea.. All went out of their way to help me . A big thankyou to you all. I highly recommend anyone needing a hire car to use this company as their first choice. I usually only post positive reviews, but as we still don’t have a resolution, we have no choice. The original booking, even though confirmed, was not honoured by Avis because it was apparently through a third party. We hired a medium SUV and were originally given a small car. When we requested the medium size as per original booking the lady serving became frustrated and just handed us keys to a car. It turns out she didn’t do the paperwork properly because Avis didn’t know which car we had and, even though we had long since returned it, they kept calling us to ask which car we had / what the rego was etc. After several calls accusing us of still having a car that we had returned, they eventually apologised and assured us (twice) that we wouldn’t be charged as the error was at their end. Since then we have been charged for the car that we returned (for longer than we had it, because they lost track of it!) AND we have also been charged for the car that someone else had which was originally allocated to us. We expect a full refund ASAP or we will be taking this to the Ombudsman.

When it comes to a life an death emergency an need to rent a car just remember one credit card won't be enough Avis they are the worst company to hire from your better going thru budget or go get but definitely not Avis
