Just love everything about this hotel. Don’t go to Canberra too often, but when I do, I would only stay at The Avenue. |Stayed there earlier this week, and, as always, check-in was friendly and faultless, so quick and easy.|The room was spacious, clean and meticulous. Everything perfectly presented. A credit to the cleaning crews.|We had a 1 bedroom apartment this time. Highly recommend this type of room. Plenty of space. And at a very satisfying price!!! Kitchen well stocked with all the crockery and utensils you’d ever need.|And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, the hotel has its own restaurant, plus you’re so close to the City Centre, it’s only a short walk to many restaurants and bars, giving a great choice.|Honestly, why would you stay anywhere else?|Try it for yourself.|You will not be disappointed.|Geoff and Jessie.

We arrived on Christmas Day so it was quiet, with limited room servicing over the holiday period. We never have room servicing anyway on short stays, so were very happy to receive a $10 bar and restaurant voucher each night for choosing to opt out.
Friendly staff. Our 1 bedroom apartment (65m2) was very spacious and well equipped, and the location was fine for us as we had bikes to get around. Getting to the museums and art galleries would involve a lot of walking or a short drive otherwise.
Would definitely stay there again - highly recommended!

The Avenue is next to the best hotel I've stayed at within it's price range. It has the extras of chocolate on your pillow, conveniently placed washing machine & kitchen & a nice balcony. It's conveniently placed. For Canberra it's a great find. The only suggestions I have to make it 5 stars is (and these are minor) 1. No shower curtains or screen in bathroom (annoying as everything in room including toilet gets wet) 2. Hot water not hot, more mildly not cold in shower 3.bathrobe is not new and looks in need of replacement 4. Gym does not have music or TV remote available 5. In room dining not good 6. TV does not have netflix
Otherwise by far a great choice for Canberra

Perfect set up for two couples travelling together. The two bedroom apartment was great. We were in Canberra for a short 3 day stay which included NYE. Perfect location for cafes and bars also shopping.||It's the second time we have stayed and would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. Front desk was really helpful and kind enough to give us an upgrade after a long drive. Room was clean and tidy. Beds were really comfortable. Highly recommended.

Large rooms, comfortable bed and fabulous shower. After a long drive this was a welcome stop on our journey from Melbourne to Sydney. We have stayed a couple of times and it is a good location to walk to restaurants. Checkin and checkin out were efficient. Underground secure parking with lift access directly to your floor.

We recently stayed overnight and enquired about EV charging. We were offered two options, both in basement B3:|- overnight charging in hotel car space for $35|- charge at Exploren station for $20 (plus their charges).||We took the former option thinking it would be similar cost and more convenient as we wouldn’t need to move the car, however we found this option to be inadequate for travelling as it is only a 10 Amp wall socket (extremely slow and you need your own cable with 3 pin connection). ||Take the second option and avoid the trip back up to reception to sort out.

Great location. Service is very average. Bring your own moisturizing cream, dental kit and other basic necessities as they don't make them readily available. You can ask but not guaranteed you will get them. Had to go to the shops nearby to get toothpaste. Very annoying and inconvenient as a travelling passenger by plane you are not allowed to have these in your carry-on luggage. Internet on the Ground Floor rooms is really bad. Similar to dial up speeds. Something for this Hotel to look at. Just 2 stars.
