Through the auspices of our wonderful travel agent, Jo Oldfield of Savenio, we went on a whale watching adventure last year. Basing ourselves in Ceduna, with the help of our incredible tour guide, Chris, we were able to see whales from the Head of the Bight, from a light plane leaving Nullarbor Roadhouse and flying over the Bight and from a boat tour of Fowlers Bay. But it was more than just whales. We also had the unforgettable experience of eating fresh oysters from a platform in the middle of the oyster farm; took in the breathtaking Bunda Cliffs, visited the windmill museum at Penong and the Ceduna Aboriginal Arts & Cultural Centre and just generally had a wonderful time.

None of it would have worked without our fabulous guide. With his extensive knowledge, freely shared with amazing stories, and his outback skill, Chris made us city slickers feel right at home in the remotest of places. This is a trip of a lifetime.
