Just completed Australian Walking Holiday's Twelve Apostles Walk. Had a wonderful time. The walk covers the highlights of the Great Ocean Walk in four days and about 50 km (half the length of the full Great Ocean Walk). As treks go, this was on the luxurious end of the scale. Nights are spent in Australian Walking Holiday's aesthetically pleasing and extremely comfortable Twelve Apostles Lodge. Meals are gourmet. By concentrating on the highlights, we saw a steady stream of interesting and beautiful sights. Our group went a bit off the beaten path to Triplet Falls. I would recommend that all groups have the opportunity to see the magnificent rainforest gully there. The human element could also not have been better. Fabulous guides and fun, like-minded hiking companions. Five stars!

I recently had the incredible experience of hiking the Classic Larapinta Trek in Comfort with Australian Walking Holidays, and I can't recommend it enough! From start to finish, the trip was absolutely fantastic.

Our tour guides (Finn, Alena, Sam and Jamie) were truly exceptional — kind, helpful, and incredibly patient. They went above and beyond to ensure that everyone in our group felt supported and comfortable, always ready with encouragement and tips. Their deep knowledge of the area added so much to the experience, as they shared fascinating insights about the flora, fauna, and history of the traditional owners of the land and the trail.

The scenery along the Larapinta Trail was simply breathtaking. Each day brought new vistas, from stunning ridgelines to serene waterholes. The colors of the outback, especially at sunrise and sunset, were nothing short of magical. Every turn in the trail revealed another picture-perfect view. The bird life is also magnificent, so it is a joy for bird watchers.

The cultural experiences were really enjoyable and educational, offering us a deeper understanding of the Aboriginal people, their land and its significance. We were taken to some beautiful places such as Ellery Creek and Ormiston Gorge, where we enjoyed a refreshing swim on hot days after our hikes—such a perfect way to cool off and take in the beauty around us.

And let’s talk about the meals! We were treated to delicious three-course dinners each night, tasty breakfasts and plenty of different snacks, which felt like a gourmet experience in the middle of the outback. The meals were not only beautifully prepared but also provided the perfect fuel for our daily hikes.

One of the nights we left camp at 2am to climb Mount Sonder in the dark with our headtorches and had the privilege of watching the sunrise once we had reached the summit. This was such a unique and spectacular experience.

Overall, hiking the Larapinta Trail with Australian Walking Holidays was an unforgettable adventure, thanks to the amazing guides, spectacular scenery, and fantastic food. I would love to go back and do it again!

What an amazing trip Larapinta trail end to end was. Absolutely stunning scenery, our guides Karl & Jacob were brilliant and made our trip all the more enjoyable with great cooked food, professional attitude, informative about fauna, flora and local history of the area. Would not hesitate to recommend World Expeditions. Professional and so helpful from booking the trip to guiding us on a great adventure that I will never forget . July 2024.

The Australian Walking Holidays group offers a brilliant version of the Larapinta track. The Best of the Larapinta is 9 days of fully supported adventure. All food and camping gear is supplied. All you have to do is walk with a day pack and have fun. There are professional guides who are a wealth of knowledge and double as fantastic cooks.
The Larapinta is a splendid walk, full of beauty and variety and a great challenge.
I recommend it to all who enjoy multi day hikes.

The landscape of the Litchfield trek is an amazing tabletop with each day’s walking starting with a climb up beside a different waterfall to trek on the top. Day’s end saw us descending beside another waterfall. Tho it was the dry season the waterways flowed - we needed lots of swims given the high temperatures noon to 4pm. Our 3 guides - Tahli, Alice and Vic - were highly experienced and nothing was too much trouble for them, catering was top standard. It was a rugged walk and we were thrilled to complete it, great experience of the Top End.

The tour guides were the best I have had the pleaseure of treking with to date. The food, knowledge & experience from both the guides was outstanding. Would highly recommend Australian Walking Holidays to anyone who expects the best.
