As the peak body that represents many voices within the full gamut of travel agents wholesalers tour operators and independents it is a shame that AFTA seems to have no voice , solutions nor compassion for people that actually take some of these tours with dodgy operators. And yet we, that is people that have taken a tour, are told that if we have a complaint we must direct it to AFTA. We placed a complaint against Adelaide based Zen Oriental Journeys/Designs back on 17th June 2023 and have had only one reply from AFTA on the 19th June 2023. We have sent five more emails requesting an update with no reply. Not sure how AFTA allow tour operators to get away with such disgusting accomodation especially when one is charged well above the tour rate!!!

Looks good! Sounds good! BUT nothing is as it seems. Very expensive for a shocking tour with a tour leader that knew nothing about the country or the places that were visited nor the accomodation - certainly no 4-5star hotels which were promised on the website.. nor an airconditioned van with WiFi which again was promised on their website..Add to that travelling 7-8 hours a day in 38-40degree heat in an un-airconditioned van and not eating lunch till 3-4pm most days and THEN the indifference of the director of the tour company and you come up with one very expensive very hot uncomfortable and very unplanned trip of a lifetime.. Shocking!! Cannot blame the Moroccan Government nor the Moroccan Tourist Bureau nor the warm and friendly Moroccan people nor the beautiful country of Morocco..
