Wow, wow, brilliant. This is a must see, and your visit must include a wander around the stones reading the plaques set in the ground to explain purpose. Spent 2 to 3 hours there, had lunch in The Croft Cafe there, wonderful. Then came back in the evening to view the sunset through the stones

Interesting. Unfortunately the weather didn't play the game so it was a bit disappointing. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained. The toilets are new and clean. Found the Cafe was too expensive stay though. The stones are worth a visit.

Worth a quick look if you're in Glen Innes. There are some educational plaques here and there, and the human shadow clock is fun to try, but it's not going to be a long experience. It's going to incur the inevitable comparison to Stonehenge but really it's an attempt at a different design and that's okay.

The Standing Stones are fine but we thought the best part was the lookouts above the area that have views to the south-east through to the west. Really well done!

I was there at sunrise for the spring equinox... a lovely gentleman explained what all the stones meant and showed me the best place to stand to take pics

Great presentation of Celtic origins. Nicely laid out to allow you to walk around the stones and appreciate their significance and purpose. Great place to relax and have a picnic as well. Highly recommend to visit near sunrise or sunset to see the shadows they cast on the ground.
