Excellent accommodation. Straightforward booking process. Very clean and comfortable. Air-conditioning for hot summer months was awesome as it was 37 degrees when we arrived. No shops open in Talbingo though as school holidays had just finished. Country club good for dinner and a drink in the evening.

Pether cottage was perfect for our short family summer getaway, close to the Yarrangobilly caves , hot springs and to Tumut it was a great location.

The cottage itself was comfortable , clean with plenty of room for our family and our dog. David also very promptly answered all our questions about the property especially around taking our dog.

Talbingo is such a beautiful town , shop keepers and the locals were all so welcoming and the most wonderful views from the power station just down the road from the cottage.

Warm, cozy & everything we needed for our first trip to the snow. From waking up to peacocks out the window to going to sleep in the comfortable beds, we can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for being so accommodating.

Perfect little spot to get to the snow accommodation was exactly as described. Kept us warm overnight even in the -2 and raining conditions. 40 minutes to the ski fields makes it ideal for us. Area is surrounded by native wildlife is a big bonus

We loved our stay in Talbingo! The Pether Cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable & cosy. Split systems in each room kept us warm, the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed, the BBQ & outdoor area was lovely, the secure yard was awesome for our 2 small dogs, the long bath was lovely to soak in after long days exploring, hot water was excellent, Netflix & WiFi were great for a family movie night & beds, linen & towels were all fresh, clean & comfy. The host was easy to contact & very helpful. The town is stunning & very peaceful with beautiful parks & paths for walking, running or riding. We will definitely be back. We loved exploring the local area & particularly loved the Yarrangobilly Caves & Thermal Pools.

We are very very happy with our stay.
Well organized.
Very clean toilet.
Nice kitchen.
Both Kids and adults can spend time in lounge room watching movies (Amazon, Netflix, etc) with pop-corn ☺️
Lots of outdoor activities near by (such as, Cycling, visiting Cave, going to snow field, and so on) all of them are within 45 mins distance.
This is the third time coming to Talbingo but first time very happy with our stay.

We are planning to come back during summer to spend quality time at Pether Cottage.

Clean and practical place to stay in the heart of Talbingo. The air-conditioning was a plus in the bedroom as it was a stinking hot weekend. Wifi worked well but if you're not with Telstra, there is no phone reception in Talbingo, couldn't even receive or send text message which would make it hard if needed to communicate with owner once there.
