If you want to get more gold – sign up for the Jim’s course!

I have interacted with Jim on multiple occasions and I can say that most of what I know about prospecting in WA I have learned from him. His knowledge of the WA goldfields is outstanding. Combined with many years of field experience this virtually guarantees that he would be on gold every time when he is out detecting. Of course, it goes without saying that Jim knows all the ins and outs of using the 7K detector, as well as the 5K before that. His ability to hear those subtle signals which manifest deep nuggets is almost uncanny. But most important is that Jim does not keep those ‘’secrets’’ to himself. Quite the opposite, he would be eager to share them with you and do this in the most friendly and easy-to-understand manner. Being with him in the field is a very pleasant and rewarding experience, and this is so not only because he is an expert detectorist and a great mentor but also because he is a very good outdoorsman who can fix any problem and basically keep you safe in the bush. I can recommend him most enthusiastically.

I highly recommend Jim's knowledge of gold detectors, especially Minelab and his ability to understand the ground layout. He was able to assist me in a suitable choice of gold detector that suits my personal attributes and where I would be using the detector.
He was able to compare the differences between several models of Minelab detectors to me and help me decide my best options.
His ability to use Trilobite and determine which ground looks promising and worthy of detecting was outstanding. He was able to show me how to read the land layout so that I could use his knowledge to detect.
He spoke in a way that I was able to easily learn from him, and I believe I learned some great knowledge that I can use in the future.
I am sure my next outing with a new gold detector will be positive.

Fat Bastard Prospecting
5/5

Gday fellow prospectors my name is Sam (Fatbastard) and i started prospecting around 2016
I first heard of Jim from aussie adventurer in Karratha around 2018 and had watched a few of his earlier youtube videos
When i heard he was in town for training on the 7000 i was super excited but unfortunately i couldnt get time of work to attend, fast forward to present day and the stars alined i heard Jim was in town so i booked in for some one on one training
We (mrs Fat and i) are now full time prospectors so why do the training you may ask? You never stop learning imo and even a 5% increase in gold would make a huge difference to us
I have always ran my 7000 as hot (high sensitivity) as i can but having no training with this machine new very little about the rest of the settings and after just one day with Jim was blown away with the knowledge i came away with
Got straight out to testing (those who have done Jims training know what I'm talking about)
My old settings found gold but i now believe i have been walking over gold for years and when i go out searching for some yella now have the confidence that if its there i will find it
Thanks Jim
