Andre was incredibly kind and helpful. He always took great care of all the tenants, and thanks to him, the hotel was spotless and well-maintained.

We only stayed for a week in couple of months ago, but everything he did for us was truly heartwarming and amazing.

And I really loved the view of the Atherton mountains from the second-floor terrace! It was breathtakingly beautiful.

We highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Atherton:)

Andre the caretaker made our stay in Atherton the best possible experience we could have! He was incredibly welcoming from the very start and makes sure everyone feels comfortable throughout their stays. The hostel is very well kept and has plenty facilities, renovations and upgrades at the moment are improving the space even further! Would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat, the atmosphere would make sure even the shyest person makes friends 🙂

Loved staying at the grand hotel! Stayed here for two months and would come back again. Great location close to everything you need and nearby to the bus for work. Andre the caretaker and Solange were amazing, always making sure we were happy with the hostel and continuously looking to improve the place. Regular movie nights and activities for the weekends. Would recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in the tablelands

Stayed here for 1 month over the Xmas period of 24/25 and have nothing but great things to say about it.
All I needed was a bed, bathroom, fridge and cooking facilities. Was pleasantly surprised to find washing machine, dryer, large lounge with TV and DVD, WIFI as well.
The managers were great to deal with on the business side, lovely to chat with and have close by if needed.
I highly recommend this top spot in the heart of the amazing Atherton Tablelands.

Everything is nice. The Hostel is always clean, the position of the Hostel is perfect, everybody is friendly and the Boss is the nicest man. If you have a problem he takes care of it no matter what it is. I spend 4,5 month in this Hostel and I'm glad I was spending my time in this Hostel. Thank you for everything.

I used to enjoy this hostel, but ever since the new owners took over, it’s gone completely downhill. I helped out with work for a week and was promised payment, which never came. They ignored my messages and made no effort to do the right thing. Totally unprofessional and shady.

On top of that, the place isn’t being looked after properly — I regularly saw rats around the property, which says a lot about how it’s being run now. What was once a decent hostel has turned into a joke. I wouldn’t stay here again, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here for about two months. The caretaker is nice and helpful enough, but the place is an absolute mess. Oh and definitely don’t work for them, I worked for them for a few weeks and never got paid - new owner is an absolute tool.

It was a really good experience in this hostel and everyone is friendly and kind.
There is a really good month there and I recommend it for everyone.
