A treasure trove of historical artefacts from the area covering farming and every day life as well as plenty of photos to demonstrate how people lived in the 1800-1900s. We had Davo give us a personal 1.5 hour tour and he was so incredibly knowledgeable and friendly it was great! The ladies in the visitor centre also couldn’t do enough for us, showing us around their town and area.

Medium scale museum but there's just so many things inside. Very interesting artefacts and many old tools and equipment to see. We can see how people live in the past. There's two ladies mending the museum and the're very knowledgeable and informative. Not many people usually pass by small towns but it's good if they do because you get to explore and gain knowledge on these historical things, sights, information, etc. Easy to get parking outside the museum.

An interesting place to spend an hour or so. Lots of old machinery, history of the jump plough famous for the area. But there’s something for everyone from old household items, radio’s cameras, and old dresses etc. Also items from a ship that sunk close by.

What a fantastic museum with so much to see. We didn't know that the Stump Jump Plough was invented and manufactured in Ardrossan. If you're also into ship wrecks, there is a great display and history around the Zanoni wreck. Congratulations to all the work put into this museum and the informative volunteers that were they on Saturday the 18th of March.
