A truly wonderful experience seeing beautiful, majestic, precious Antarctica from the air! The commentary was excellent and the cabin crew looked after us very well. The flight deck team did a great job working out a route that provided great viewing on both sides of the aircraft despite some cloud. Thankyou to everyone involved!

We paid over $4,000 for premium economy seats. As we were going to be on the plane for hours, I was looking forward to having breakfast, but what a letdown. The food was “slop” I’ve had better food on a domestic flight. Even though I didn’t eat anything, the views were spectacular. However, don’t expect to see anything other than ice. Great inflight entertainment!

An amazing experience over one of the most beautiful places on the planet! The trip was well organised and the day went smoothly with many hours over the white continent. We were provided with lots of information about Antarctica by way of maps and brochures but also very informative commentary by an expert in glaciers and someone who had lived in Antarctica. Crew were very happy to answer any questions. I loved the day and would highly recommend it. I love my photos - you can’t take a bad picture.

I went on the NYE flight and it was an amazing experience. Beautiful. Never in my life did I think I would visit Antarctica. An enjoyable start to the new year and it was nice to see everyone excited. Service was decent and good food for plane food. On par if not better than normal Qantas service. There is plenty of food and drink.

We did standard economy and I think we lucked out on the seats because it was obstructed by wing but it didn't obstruct viewing that much. One thing I would suggest to people interested in this flight is to check to see if their booking class is positioned over the wings. The booking website does tell you this and there is a map of the seating plan. You can move around the aircraft to get photos but I think it's nicer to not have an obstructed view.

I also have auditory processing difficulties and I found it hard to hear some of the announcements including videos that were not subtitled (such a video advertising the Antarctica science foundation).

What a wonderful way to start the new year 2024 with an inspiring Antarctica Flight! And I found an UFO - Unidentified Floating Object! Looking more like a sponge cake or eclair than a glacier! Please explain? How marvelous! Thank you

I paid $3999 for Premium economy and felt ripped off. I hoped to take good photos and see the Antarctic continent in comfort. I was let down by the pathetic seat allocation, window view obstructions and having to constantly move for crew and passengers to pass whilst standing up. My first seating was an inside cabin for first 2 hours over the Antarctic. Viewing could only done by standing in the aisle which I found it a nightmare as I was constantly having to move for cabin staff and other passengers. Although the Antarctic crew were obviously very excited and pleased with all they could see from their cabin, I found I couldn’t see much at all and had limited photo opportunities. Half time I did get a window seat, only the have the view half blocked by the plane wing, plane engine and other passengers taking photos.
Drinks where good but the 2 meals were very average.
There was little help from the antarctic cabin crew in assisting passengers to enjoy the tour. For instance, it took two call attempts to get the my meal tray cleared, no help with overhead baggage, and very limited communication with them.
On a positive note, I did find the Antarctic commentators very knowledgeable and I was amazed at what I did see.

I cannot recommend this enough for any thrill-seekers wanting a unique way to celebrate the new year.
