I’ve been coming to Angelo’s for nearly 20 years and have always appreciated its charm and atmosphere. While it’s quieter these days and the menu has evolved over time, I’ve still held onto fond memories of the seafood platters which have consistently impressed.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me a bit disappointed. The pasta dish, while beautifully presented, didn’t quite deliver on flavour. The lamb backstrap, which we were told would be medium rare, arrived well done. It had been sliced and plated in a way that initially hid the doneness. When we brought it to the attention of the waiter, it was kindly taken back to the kitchen and returned cooked to medium — which was appreciated. However, it was still quite chewy, bled onto the plate when cut, and the quality of the meat just didn’t seem up to standard. It’s a tricky cut to get wrong, so that was surprising. On a positive note, the truffle chips were delicious.

While I’ve had many great experiences here in the past, this visit didn’t quite meet expectations. I truly hope Angelo’s can find its way back to the standard and quality it was once known for — I’d love to see it shine again.

We had a good time having dinner there on Saturday. The food is tasty, the atmosphere is cozy, and the prices are very reasonable. Plus, the view over the lake is simply breathtaking. Perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner. Highly recommend!

Hi all!

We had an incredible night last night!
Celebration restaurant I would call this place. First time coming, and it was a very nice experience.

Food is sublime!!
Delicious. I may not be a connoisseur of delicate cuisine, but I am very glad we picked this restaurant to celebrate another month together(after our wedding 🙂 )

Ordered the:

Lamb
Ribs
Bread (truffle butter)
Sangiovese wine
Burrata
Tiramisu dessert

All yummy!! 🙂

One: Best service from the man-bun gentleman with the knife tattoo.
Two: We had the best pasta to date.
Three: Desserts by the table were magnificent in presentation, delivery and taste. (If you haven’t had their tiramisu, you haven’t visited Angelo’s yet).
Four: For the love of high-end venues, I love to see many older employees in the venue! Not something a lot of venues have.
Five: The LAMB.. PLEASE HAVE THE LAMB!! So juicy, very well-cooked, beautiful fat percentage, soft ugh! will come back just to eat this.

“Wedding Entree Disaster under New Management”

We held our wedding for 77 guests on November 2024 at $175/person.

To our absolute disappointment our entree’s were significantly different to what we expected & requested.
It is appalling that we were not permitted a wedding menu tasting despite requesting it and we were mislead to believe our entree’s would be fresh & made “daily in-house”(which is promoted on their website).

The spiced penne seafood marinara
was not fresh at all, the pasta and marinara mix were from packets. Which was visually obvious through the lack of fresh seafood, pasta and flavour. This was false advertising and pasta was NOT made daily in-house.
The beef ragu was cold, bland and in some servings there was barely any beef.

We complained to the restaurant manager immediately after entrees were served at our reception.
We then emailed a formal complaint to the owner (Deep Gujral) after returning from our honeymoon.
After 6 weeks, 4 emails & 1 phone call requesting for the owner to contact me to discuss our issue - still NO REPLY.
The owner has been so unprofessional and unreasonable, with no communication from him whatsoever.

This business is within the first year since an ownership change and the owners total disregard for dissatisfied customers will definitely lead to it’s demise

**Update**
We raised a Dept of Fair Trading complaint and we now have Gordon (Restaurant Manager) claiming he offered to have the unsatisfactory meals newly served… what an absolute lie as he only said I’ll let the kitchen know. Don’t waste your cash and time with this new management. Still no responsibility taken and what a shame this once was a beautiful restaurant all round.
