Anina from An African Dream certainly created the perfect african experience that surpassed our highest expectations and imagination.
From the moment I called Anina to discuss a trip to Africa I felt in secure hands and Anina certainly proved to be the perfect agent for organising our African dream. Incredibly organised, Anina co-ordinated every facet of our trip with exemplary attention to detail, from international and internal flights, an itinerary that impressed above and beyond, luxurious accommodation, top restaurant and eatery choices, and outstanding daily tours with highly knowledgeable and genuinely caring guides. Every aspect was so impressively personalised for our family.
Our first introduction to South Africa was Cape Town, where we were indulged in luxury at The Marly Boutique Hotel and Spa. Surrounded by a spectacular mountain view to the west and beachfront view to the east, the staff were beyond outstanding. Anina’s well-assigned itinerary for Cape Town included tours to Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, African penguins on the beach, beautiful gardens, the uniquely colourful homes of the Muslim area, the fabulous wineries and lunch in the Stellenbosch region, bookings for sunset drinks and dinner in exclusive restaurants overlooking the ocean and a day just to explore and enjoy the atmosphere, music, arts and culture of the South African people around the V&A waterfront of Cape Town.
For our mind-blowing Safari experience Anina booked our family into the very exclusive and all-inclusive Kings Camp Lodge in Timbatavi Private Nature Reserve. Kings Camp can aptly be described as “Fit for a King“ – everything was exquisite! Transported back to the opulence of old-style Africa, where 4 poster beds, beautiful dark timber colonial style furniture, claw bath, indoor and outdoor showers, decanted spirits, and private swimming pool were included with every room. As guests, we also had the luxury of an open bar, open Cabana-style viewing room, gym, restaurant and meal decks and library/reading room on site. Animal skins adorned throughout, along with the many ornately framed scenes from the Gaming days-of-old. Twice daily Safari’s included personal drivers and trackers who ensured that we encountered the Big 5 and more, at both sunrise and sunset, and days were spent gazing upon grazing impalas and being mesmerised by elephants gathering at the watering hole.
Having spent 5 days on Safari, we were convinced that we had seen the best there was to offer. This is where Anina didn’t disappoint, sending us North to Zambia for more surprises. Our accommodation at The Royal Livingston Victoria Falls was breath-taking – situated on the Zambezi, the extensive grounds were perfectly manicured, whereby Giraffes, Zebras and cheeky little monkeys roamed and grazed within the grounds. Highlights at Livingston included viewing the magnificent Victoria Falls, Cruises on the Zambian River, a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls and into Batoka Gorge, swimming on the edge of Victoria Falls at Devils Pools, sipping cocktails around the pool surrounded by zebras and giraffes, and being entertained by hippos submerging intermittently in the Zambezi river.
Our trip was beyond remarkable. It was an unforgettable 2 weeks of absolute magic that just kept on giving.
I can’t praise Anina’s services highly enough. Anina regularly communicated or met with me personally to ensure that I had complete understanding and knowledge of our trip, and provided both paper and digital forms of the necessary documentation. If ever I had a question all I needed to do email or call. What I truly appreciated was that I could contact Anina at any time and she would be there to assist in the most caring and genuine manner. Nothing was ever an issue for Anina, everything was met with a beautiful smile and the greatest of care. Thank you Anina from the bottom of our hearts. We hope to be requiring your out-standing services once again in the near future to be emersed into another “African Dream”. Once is just not enough !
