My partner and I hired Tejel and Jaanki to assist with the logistics of our wedding, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. While we had a day-of coordinator from the venue, we knew with all the details we had, extra support would be essential. From the very start, Tejel was incredibly easy to talk to and work with. The team was quick to respond and helped us organize a well-structured, action-packed timeline for the day.

On the day of the wedding, Tejel and Jaanki worked their magic, allowing my partner and me to be fully present and enjoy the festivities. They stayed calm and collected, ensuring that everything on our timeline ran smoothly. They were also great at adapting when things didn’t go exactly as planned—something that inevitably happens, even with the best-laid plans. A little overdue on writing this review but I wanted to ensure both my Husband and I can collaborate to leave this for Tejel and her AMAZING team. My wedding was very hectic and not going to lie everyone was over the edge as well as so emotional all morning! If not for Tejel and her team our wedding would not have gone as smooth as possible because thanks to her no one even realized the craziness of the morning. I'm so thankful for the efforts her and Mansi put in especially for me to ensure I was taken care of while the rest of the wedding was being handled. My husband was extremely appreciative that Tejel was even there for us after the wedding answering any remaining questions that we had. She's a wonderful person and her team is just as wonderful. We had her 45 days before the wedding and she did so much in just that short time frame. I know her team can handle the whole planning of the wedding just as great as she handled the day of for us! So thank you Ambiance by Tejel for your hard-work, coordination, and patience! You made our special day beyond perfect and we're truly blessed to have gotten to know you in the process! 🙂

We received so many compliments from our guests about how happy and relaxed we were (something that guests mentioned is so rare to see in a bride and groom), and that's thanks to your hard work behind the scenes. Notably, as a traditional Indian wedding, it's often a challenge to stay on schedule, but Vicky and Jaanki made sure that not only did everything run on time--they even kept us ahead of schedule! Your ability to manage the guests, coordinate the grand entrances, and keep the flow of events moving was truly impressive. There were so many minor details and moving pieces throughout all the events with quick turnaround times, and Vicky and Jaanki you both were absolutely amazing with how you managed everything!

Throughout the wedding, Tejel, Krupa, Vicky, and Jaanki ensured we were well taken care of, from keeping us well-fed to making sure we always had a drink in our hands to stay hydrated. Your care and thoughtfulness were evident in every gesture, and you made sure we felt supported and celebrated throughout the entire process.

It's funny that considering a Wedding Planner for your big weekend is usually the last vendor you think about, yet, they tend to be the spine of what makes the weekend successful, and this was definitely the case at our (covid) wedding. You know Tejel and her partner in crime, Vicky, did an amazing job when our guests noticed how hard at work they were while my wife and I, and our families, and our guests, enjoyed the occasion.

It was our decor vendor who first recommended we get a wedding planner, a month before our big day, and she recommended Tejel, and we are so glad we were pointed her way. From our first phone call, to the thorough schedule planning for the day, and constant availability to chat over text or call, she made planning fun. She responded within minutes, even if it was early in the morning, or late in the night. Two weeks prior to our big day, our venue had to cancel on us, Tejel was on it right away, sending emails to venues she could think of, and within 24 hours, we found a replacement venue!

She gathered all wedding favors, programs, accessories prior to the weekend, and had them ready and in place for the big day. She made sure we were on schedule, not held back for too many photos, ensured we had our lunch, got us coffee in between our ceremony and reception, and even made sure we had a drink in our hand throughout the reception! It is the attention to detail that really blew us away.

She ensured the wedding certificate was signed, collected all items from the gift box, and handed it over to the designated contact at the end of the night.

The weekend would not have been as stress-free and enjoyable for us without Tejel and Vicky, they are great fun, and a joy to talk to (we still keep in touch with her to this day!), and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND her and team.

We hired Tejel and the ABT team for 30 Days Coordination for our 175 person fusion wedding in October 2022 because I was so detail oriented and wanted to be hands-on in designing every aspect of our three days of events. Of all the planners I reached out to, she was so prompt in responding right away, and was always reachable by email, phone, and even text in the case of an urgent request in the months leading up to our wedding. She (and the ABT team) did a wonderful job of making sure each day went smoothly, so much so that we actually got to eat our wedding food and try all of the drinks. On the day of our outdoor Sangeet, it was much colder than anticipated, and when she recommended adding 5 more huge heat lamps, we trusted her judgement -- it was the best decision because it saved our guests from freezing and made our event possible. When we had an issue with finding the the right size of round tables for our reception at the last minute, she was able to lean on her excellent relationships with vendors in the Bay Area to source the tables for us. Overall, she was very easy to work with, and someone we knew we could rely on to get things done -- so much so that my bridesmaid promptly hired her for her upcoming 2023 wedding!

TLDR: Hire Tejel and her team, just do it. She will help you make your wedding dreams come true and keep everything running on time (yes, even the Indians running on IST), makes sure you are well fed during the wedding, keeps the alcohol coming and doesn’t bother you with the small things that inevitably need fixing during the wedding events.

The novel: Welcome to the story of how Arham (my now husband) and I fell in love with Tejel. Our friend recommended her to us after having experienced her magical work at his sister’s wedding. We reached out to Tejel, but unfortunately she wasn’t available for the weekend of our wedding. Fast forward past several unsuccessful wedding planner interviews and we desperately reached back out to Tejel asking if she would be willing to take us on. She agreed to a phone call, and although she was only taking on clients for 30-day wedding coordination, after incessant begging she was willing to take us on for the full wedding planning package and see us the whole way through.

It is clear that Tejel is well-known and LOVED throughout the Bay Area wedding vendor community. We threw a curveball at her when we decided we preferred an LA venue and wanted to meet with local vendors there. As always, Tejel used her charm and connected Arham and I with the perfect vendors (we truly had the dream team working on our wedding) most of whom she had never worked with before. Every vendor we spoke with or venue we toured complimented Tejel on her organization and loved working with her.

Tejel is a kind, understanding and flexible person. Arham and I had busy work schedules and had a few family emergencies due to which we had to reschedule vendor meetings. Tejel was one text away and before you knew it, she had the meeting rescheduled and was checking in on us to make sure we were okay. When Arham and I proposed having a split South Indian/North Indian ceremony all within 5 hours at the crack of dawn, Tejel helped us bring that vision to life, even when other vendors complained that it would be too early and having 2 separate ceremonies on different days/times would be better. Tejel did the perfect job of providing her input from her years of experience while giving Arham and me the autonomy to bring our vision to life.

Tejel’s entire team (Krupa & Nipul) were so kind, and professional throughout our events. They took care of all the logistics, brought Arham and I food and kept our drinks fresh. They made sure jasmine flowers were ready to go in the hair and make up rooms at 3am day of wedding, and all the pooja items were in the appropriate place (Mandap, Welcome Table, Milni) by 6am ready for the priest to set up. The team is able to troubleshoot any unforeseen hurdles at the event without involving us or our families so that we could sit back and just enjoy the events.

I am so grateful we met Tejel; what started out as a wedding planner-client relationship has turned into a wonderful friendship.

After interviewing several planners early in our wedding planning process, Tejel stood out. Her non-pushy approach, direct communication, and genuine, down-to-earth demeanor immediately put us at ease. She not only understood our vision for our big Indian-fusion wedding but also responded promptly to every question we had (sometimes almost too quickly). Tejel understood us and there was no one else we believed could bring our wedding dreams to life. She’s fun too!!

On the big day, she went above and beyond – personally ensuring I was fed and orchestrating behind-the-scenes magic for our complex schedule with 2 ceremonies and 1 reception (all in different locations). She took care of my husband, all family members, and prioritized the guest experience. Her friendly, approachable demeanor added a calming and fun touch.
