Really nice place for a getaway! We were a group of 3 spread across 2 rooms and rented a bungalow for one night. The accommodations were cosy and well-maintained.

BBQ facilities are available in the area, which made for a great evening meal. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The shared recreational area has clearly suffered some damage from past flooding and could use a bit of work to make it more functional and appealing, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience.

Great spot for a relaxing stay, and we’d definitely come back!

A great place to stay! The property is clean and tidy with a fantastic location. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The trampoline and swing are perfect for kids, adding an extra touch of fun.

It does the job! My friend and I booked one night from December 24th to the 25th and we paid $350 for the night.

Amazing manager, very friendly and nice, great vibes. There were lots of activities to do in the area, We rented a boat and had some really great time. Gorgeous view with tidy bedrooms and all amenities available. Recommended.

Pros -
Great location! Walking distance to both the waterfront and shops.
- The cabin was a good size overall although the rooms did not accommodate for a portacot.
- For the most part, the cabin was very tidy on arrival.
- Plenty of linen and towels were provided both on arrival and during our stay.
- The water temp and pressure throughout the cabin was great.
- The aircon unit worked well.
- There was a washer and dryer on site which was free of charge.
- There was a big netted trampoline which was a big hit with the kids.
- There were BBQ facilities on site.
- The staff were friendly and accomodating.

Cons -
- When we arrived, we had no knifes or forks in our room and there was not enough of the same size plates in the cupboard.
- The two top bunk beds were not made.
- The fridge and bathroom could do with a deep clean.
- The property itself looks fairly run down compared to the website photos but when speaking to the new owner who informed us that they had only just taken over in October, this is understandable.
- There is no boat or kayak hire as advertised on the website due to insurance issues.
- The kids playground is different to the one displayed on the website and it was being held together with cardboard.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay (even though the weather didn’t agree with us) but we didn’t feel like we got value for our money due to the state of the property. It was not as advertised on the website. In saying that, we would possibly stay here again as the location was a winner for us we just hope that the new owner puts some love in to the property and can get it back up on its feet again.

Horrible experience. Many reviews here on the website are writing good reviews, I have to tell you that either these reviews are fake or either these people are used to living in horrible conditions because there is no way any normal person would find this place good. My family and I were residing in cottage 7 for one night and it was one hell of a night. Starting off upon entry the outside light wasn’t working. We let this slide. Inside there were dead cockroaches near the kitchen, there was no clean plates or any ingredients to make tea. There was no dish washing liquid or dishwasher tablets. The bathroom door was not locking so there was no privacy what so ever. The main bedroom’s lock wasn’t also working. The hot water wasn’t working. The single bed room literally looked like a hospital bed. DISGUSTING. DONT BOOK HERE EVER. COTTAGE 7 is A NIGHTMARE. Don’t come here.

Hadn’t been to Sussex inlet before but had heard how beautiful it was. This “resort” ruined it for us. We had booked 5 nights for my birthday over new years. First night cockroaches climbing all over the kitchen, the cabin had not been cleaned. My fathers bed collapsed completely broken at 2am, injured his back. The lady manager is lovely and felt awful for her having to deal with the park falling apart while owners are out of the country. The website advertises a kids playground, that was held together with cardboard and duct tape. Considering the cost during this period and the state of the cabins 100% waste of money.

The host was very responsive to a query we had when we booked, which was great. He also was very prompt both when checking in and when we had an issue with batteries in the remote. Very friendly and nothing was a problem. Kitchen area very well equipped and the unit was clean. They are also doing up other units. Right on the river and kangaroos also visit. Good campers kitchen which has room for functions. Grounds maintained well. We ate out when here at the RSL which is also on the river but there are lots of takeaway places and an independent supermarket that was open until 9pm
