We had a wonderful stay at Alstonville Showgrounds! The grounds were beautifully kept with lush, green grass and the facilities were spotless. The bathrooms and showers were always clean, with the caretakers keeping on top of everything. The caretakers were friendly, approachable and always happy to help.

I was surprised to read a negative review because that was nothing like my experience. I could tell that the caretakers worked hard to ensure the grounds are safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone. They took safety and privacy very seriously especially in shared spaces like bathrooms, which I appreciated as I have two young kids. I have no doubt that if they needed to remove someone for unsavoury behaviour, it was done to protect the comfort and wellbeing of all guests.

The location is fantastic with everything you need close by, grocery shops, coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, pubs and a variety of local shops.

We’ve just spent a lovely long weekend at Alstonville Showgrounds. The caretakers are very friendly, helpful and maintain the showgrounds in a wonderful state. The bathrooms are very clean and the grounds beautifully kept and the grass underfoot is lovely. No need for any mats on the ground.
The local area includes a great pub that’s dog friendly, coffee shops, an amazing butcher, a yummy bakery, a Coles and some lovely little shops.
We will definitely be returning and at $30 per night for power and water is very reasonable.

Loved our stay here. We were on the oval in front of the office. Short walk to showers, toilet and laundry. Dump point up the back near the gravel area.
Amazing coffee shop a short walk if you turn right as you walk out the front gates. The sour dough bread was so good as was their jam doughnut and French vanilla slice.
It was approx 600m walk to the mainstreet. I walked to Coles and a bakery in the plaza each day we were there. We have 2 dogs so didn't sit in coffee shops but they were very busy on the weekend. Gorgeous old buildings and homes in the mainstreet and opposite the showgrounds. Loved our stay here. I didn't use the laundry or camp kitchen but the showers and toilet at the office were super clean.

What a great little find! Stumbled across this place on WikiCamps and so glad we did. Plenty of space, with ability to set up wherever. The grounds are kept nicely, good for kids to run around. Staff were very lovely and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Good place to stay close to town for $30pn, 2 people power and water. Amenities were OK and a variety of sites to suit different size setups. Would happily stay again

Very reasonably priced at $25 per night. Well located, just a few minutes walk into town. Well maintained. Clean amenities. $4 laundry wash, which is great. John and Annie are wonderful caretakers. We lost our roof top air con cover in a gale. They found us a spot under cover in a shed for a few nights to get emergency repairs done. Well worth staying and Alstonville is such a great little friendly town. 5 stars. 🌟
