We came for a large family dinner, the team were lovely and accommodating, friendly and helpful. The musician was great and wonderful with kids. The food was delicious and the place was clean and welcoming.

Lovely pub. The owners are very lovely and accommodating.
Came for lunch on the weekend and it was delicious. I ordered the porterhouse steak and it came with horse raddish dressing and it was a delightful change. Hubby ordered the trout and it was equally scrumptious. Atmosphere was fantastic, so many choices and areas to sit. Would certainly come back to this wonderful establishment

What a venue! So nice to have such a great pub so close to home. The layout & interiors has had so much thought put into it. So many great little spots to perch yourself for a drink. Food was great & loved seeing all the local wines on offer. Can't wait to come back.

Ate in restaurant, did not stay in accommodation. Restaurant has good food - decent serving sizes (Hawaiin chicken snitzel, and a mussel dish) and good flavour. Good prices. Friendly staff.

What a wonderful hotel!! We arrived as a group after spending the day on the rail trail and we were made to feel very welcome. The accommodation is lovely and the owners have really nailed the decor...simple and elegant. Highly recommend the Alpine Retreat and we look forward to booking in for another relaxing weekend!

Well this was a welcome surprise, such a beautiful well furnished hotel. I had room 36 perfect a solo traveller, extremely plush carpet, the comfiest bed I have ever slept in, and organic toiletries in the en suite. Everything about this hotel screams class, from the bars, outside dining area to the main lounge complete with plush sofas and log fire. I totally recommend this hotel. Every single credit to the owners oh and I forgot to mention very friendly staff.
