A fantastic hike experience in Australia’s high country. The hike from Falls Creek to Mt Hotham was for the most part a comfortable stroll and very visually stimulating and at other times a hard slog. Be prepared for some effort especially the incline to Hotham - although not impossible for moderately happy healthy folk. Walking poles will be your friend. Track is easily marked and navigated. JF is an outstanding and knowledgeable host. Thanks mate for everything. The campsites, food offerings and transfers were all perfect. A very memorable experience and would highly recommend.

I recently completed the Falls to Hotham Crossing with JF and the Alpine Nature Experience team and wow! Stunning alpine hiking with all its beauty and challenge, supported by an incredible operation. At the end of a solid day's hike we were welcomed into a super comfortable camp already set up with an offer of refreshments and great rest. The food was the best that I've ever had on a supported camp like this, we could have been sitting down in a flash restaurant and served the same food and would have still been impressed!

The perfect way to hike in the High Country! JF and his crew really know how to take a hike experience to the next level. I did the 2 day Falls To Hotham crossing hike and it was just so good. Loved the tree tents and super LOVED the Hypedomes and Eco Village on night 2. Amazing food, good times, highly recommend booking the hot tub at the Eco Village. Love that they support all local produce and suppliers for the region.

I could not recommend Alpine Nature Experience more. I went on the three hut walk with a couple of friends in early November 2024 and the whole experience was stunning. JF was our guide and was knowledgeable, friendly and a super host. The food was incredible and we felt safe and supported in his hands despite the (at times howling) wind.

After the day of walking we made it back to the eco village for the night and were blown away again by the attention to detail and the beautiful setting Alpine Nature Experience has created. It was absolutely magical. We enjoyed the delicious local wine selection and the food was superb. We also took the opportunity to soak up the views from the wood-heated hot tub. Highly recommended!

I'm looking forward to going back.

We all loved this experience. A group of friends went along late Sept. It didn't snow, which was a shame, but we still enjoyed the mulled wine, cheese fondue, and nature experience. We're keen to return and try the hanging tree tents! Thanks to Jean-Francois and all involved in making this available in Victoria, faraway from the French Alps!

Absolutely loved the whole experience, surpassed my expectations. We did the whole experience including hot tub, worth the wait and expense. I highly recommend that anyone contemplating this experience does it quickly. We had snow, sleet, hail, one with the lot where weather was concerned but loved everything about it. Food was fantastic, glue wine best I have had including Europe. Our igloo had everything you could need including heating, was great to lay in bed looking out at snow and the moon. Forgot to mention snow shoeing, that was a bit of fun and new shoes are easier to walk in than the old style. The whole experience was fantastic.

Our stay at the Alpine Nature Experience was magical. Both Beth and Gigi are very welcoming and amazing hosts. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious cheese fondue dinner. Can't wait to visit this again. Thanks for all the hospitality!
