For snow lovers: I had the chance to stop here, and with my group of Latin friends (Colombians and Peruvians), we decided to rent a room — and it turned out to be an excellent choice for our trip. The rooms are comfortable and include a fridge and heating.

On top of that, the hotel restaurant has a great menu that really surprised me. The Caesar salad, pasta, chicken schnitzel, and fish and chips were phenomenal — although in terms of portion size, the chicken was the best. But the flavors were 10/10!

I truly recommend this place to all my friends. It’s worth it… I’m saying this as a Latino who really enjoys finding hidden gems, and I believe this place is perfect for those long trips when you need a good rest.

Room was very clean and comfy. Plenty of space for my bike boxes and gear. Table by plugs, kettle on shelf in recess. My first room had a small water patch on floor from the fridge condensation, they swapped me immediately without question: Very helpful young lad from UK. I enjoyed the big dining hall, read my book and relaxed in the huge comfy chairs. Would have loved a fire but it was warm out so no need.

The young woman working the cafe in the morning was a delight. Very friendly and chatty and made an excellent coffee.

My wife and I loved staying here for the evening. A must is the Big Foot Cafe where you will have hands down the best Bacon & Egg roll. Perfect start before a drive up into the mountains.

Loved this stay with my partner , the girls behind the desk and bar are spot on. Excellent service and very polite and accommodating all of which creating a lovely stay.
The facility is very lovely and warm feeling aswell as room being clean and well laid out for a quick getaway or cheap stop along a long travel.

The food was absolutely 5 star ranging from a few different meals pasta , pizza and burgers all being very high quality.

Just if planning to visit thedbo or Perisher from this lovely spot is not ideal the Ali pine way road connecting is very dangerous and should be only for expirenced drivers especially in wet or snowy conditions.
This aside is not the establishments issue and otherwise is a recommended stay.

Recently renovated but so called Premium rooms are tiny mini small. Just room for a bed. No tables, no chairs and no luggage rack. Used a single bed side stool for suitcase. No power plug for kettle so had to crawl to floor to connect kettle power point. Not good. Toilet had hairs on seat. Airconditioning working bonus for heat

We have stayed here many times over the years. The hotel has been refurbished and has an extraordinarily black colour externally. The new beds, linen, fridge, kettle and shower make it much more appealing. However, there are two issues with room 26 in particular. One is that the shower leaks badly and needs to be rectified while still under warranty. And the door leaning onto the balcony desperately needs a block out blind or curtain for a better sleep. |The food at the restaurant is much improved and the portions are large.

Cheap motel mattresses in an otherwise well done renovation were disappointing. Have been staying there for 30 years and was eager to try out the new rooms. Booking online only is a pain and the whole experience seems very big city oriented in a small town. Food in the pub is, as usual, fantastic.

Very expensive for what is a very basic room. Has been fully refurbished with a great bed and shower, and the pool was great after a hot day. However, the room, including the bathroom, is tiny. There is only one small bedside table, no chair to sit on (not that there's space for one anyway), no drinking glasses, no tissues in the bathroom, no face washer, no hand towels and we had to ask for a bathmat. There are multiple powerpoints in the room but no powerpoint for the kettle, it had to sit on the floor to be used. It was a struggle for my wife and I to move around each other in the room.
