Absolutely digusting at Aldi today , people lined up at self serve and 2 checkouts opened only and people lined up to the freezers waiting to be served a few of us asked them to open up one of the other 3 closed checkout and the girl was so rude and bluntly said no.
I live walking distant to Aldi Abion Park Rail and only go there for milk or bread this is why i drive up to Coles shellharbour and do my shopping.

Dry goods. Vegetables are fresh and reasonably priced. Meat selection is competitively priced.

I’m new in the country, I was unsure of how the trolley tag works. So I purchased a trolley tag and simply wanted to confirm with the cashier on the correct way to use it. She gave very rude and sarcastic comment whilst I walked away, (her exact words were, yes that’s the whole, you found it and that’s how it works, congratulations). I then later Q’d to pay for my items and I overheard her speaking to another cashier, almost bragging about how rude she is and that she is quite proud to make sarcastic and rude comments to customers, It was my first time visiting but won’t visit Aldie’s again.

Self serve options have made the shopping experience much better. Aldi may not stock everything that other supermarkets do, but they make up for that by having great specials, good stock levels and better prices to ease the rising cost of living.

Customer service is lacking, items scanned before everything had been put onto the conveyor belt and everything piled up at the end of the register in a precarious pile. Then we were demanded to put our trolley a certain way when the two of us were trying to pack quickly as the pile was about to topple over and then the way she wanted the trolley didn’t allow us to pack our trolley with our goods how we wanted. She was also rude talking to another staff member while serving us. Very condescending and made us irate while just trying to do our weekly shop.
