Caught out by bad weather riding home to Bacchus from Mount Gambier. Rented a small cabin out the back -plenty good enough. The meal was better than Pub standard (S & P calamari) done very nicely, washed down with a very nice Brown Ale. I'm going for a long ride down that way just to repeat that performance. Service was welcoming, Great.

The food here was delicious, I had pan fried gnocchi with blue cheese sauce and broccolini - it was really well made. The couple that run the place were super friendly.

We stayed in Casterton for the Kelpie weekend and had several meals at the Albion Hotel. The food was exceptional….. much tastier than usual pub food. True restaurant quality. The garlic prawns were the best I’ve ever eaten. Well done, Julie and Geoff for looking after us so well. Greatly appreciated.

Just had a fantastic meal at the Albion. Our choices stuffed fresh mushrooms, prawn and garlic dumplings and pork belly bites (4” x 2”) were all absolutely delicious. Pair that with an efficient friendly waitress and a bottle of local coonawarra cab sav made the ‘fantastic meal’. Our verdict- ‘go eat there’.

Weren't sure if we could get a light meal and coffee on new years day but found this lovely cafe attached to the pub. Terrific selection of food great coffee and such friendly service. We really enjoyed our lunch and will be stopping again on our way through.

I recently visited the Albion Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the establishment itself has a nice ambiance and my partner and I were enjoying drinks at the bar, the service we encountered left much to be desired.

Upon requesting to use the bathroom, I encountered a particularly unpleasant interaction with an older lady who seemed to be managing the facilities. It was clear she was not aware that we were patrons enjoying drinks at the bar. Instead of addressing the situation politely, she treated me horribly, showing a lack of courtesy and understanding.

This encounter left a sour taste in my mouth, overshadowing the positive aspects of the visit. Additionally, the food, while average, did not leave a lasting impression. Considering the overall experience, I cannot confidently recommend Albion Hotel based on the subpar customer service and average food quality.

It's disheartening when a potentially enjoyable evening is marred by poor customer service, and I hope the management takes this feedback constructively to improve the overall customer experience at Albion Hotel.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on our holiday visiting Casterton. Service was great, food was tasty and very friendly people. Gin tasting was worth a try, delicious and highly recommend.

Wouldn't recommend, service not unfriendly but not friendly either.
Ordered chick parma and calamari.
Salad was nice but the chips should have gone in the bin. The chef should never have put them on the plate and the owner should never have brought it to the table they were chip shaped fat, absolutely disgusting and the worse thing is I paid extra for them. The son of the owner didn't care to ask how it was and when we looked on his plate his chips were perfect. It's clearly a lack of respect for your patrons plus it was a quiet time with only 6 dinner guests to attend to, hate to think what it's like when your busy
