A lovely historic building dating back to 1888. What a lovely year for an opening for a landmark building. When we went there, a local art exhibition was on. There is a little art and craft shop selling local artists productions. Well worth stopping by to see if there's something interesting going on.

AMAZING TO SEE THIS LITTLE PIECE OF 19th CENTURY BRITAIN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD!!
The Albany Town Hall, erected in 1887, is true to the design of what was then the "motherland" of England. Indeed even the street it is on is called York St!
Great to see these older buildings preserved / restored.
Check out the ceremonial plaque on the facade noting the establishment of the first British settlement in the area in 1827!
