Gary was very competent, efficient & helpful. We made a last minute spontaneous inquiry about going kayaking on the Kalgan river with my daughter on her 15th birthday. Despite having no tow ball or roof rack Gary kitted us out with two awesome kayaks, paddles, life jackets and a nifty soft roof rack to get it all down to the river. We had an amazing day with three teenagers and people we saw out there would have been mistaken in thinking we were an organised family of outdoor adventure seekers - when we were just a bunch of pretty clueless city folk being made to look good by Gary. Really recommend the Kalgan kayaking experience. It was just magical out on the river. And pretty hilarious fun as we slowly worked out how to work together paddling…

I hired a kayak from Gary over the week before Christmas. Gary is an absolute gem, very knowledgeable and full of good advice for spots to use the kayak. He even had photos to show us where to take it. Anything we needed, he had it there including a dry bag to keep our stuff dry as we kayaked. He has all sorts of equipment you can hire. He was very helpful and a lovely bloke.. I highly recommend his company.

Gary was absolutely awesome - thank you. We were visiting Albany for a couple of days and Gary had Kayaks available the next day and reccomended where to go. He also made it so convenient with pick up and drop off kayak service. Would reccomend to anyone to hire kayaks or canoes.

I had originally booked the larger TD1806 Dinghy from Gary early last year for 3 day. Unfortunately for us the weather the week we found ourselves in Albany was far from conducive to boating so I asked Gary if it was possible to change the hire to just the one day. No drama, no pointing to agreements, Gary shared our disappointment and duly obliged.
At a time when GOOD service levels to customers is hard to find I found Gary not only professional but still kind enough to take some time out to show us where to go and what fish to target around the Albany waterways on a detailed map he provides you. The one day we did get out on the water proved to be very successful.

Albany Getaway have a large range of products for hire that are clearly very well maintained and appropriately stocked with the relevant safety equipment.

All this and a very reasonable rate of hire too.

Will definitely recommend to anyone travelling down to Albany

Gary is very knowledgeable and helpful. He will spend as much time as you need to get to know your van and help you pick one to suit your needs. Was able to pick up early and drop late which encouraged us to explore more. Very reasonable prices and we can't wait to try another caravan next time.
