Oh my goodness, we had the best time here as we celebrated our company Christmas dinner! They had a coeliac menu and my colleague and I enjoyed the Feed Me! options. Each more beautiful and tasty than the last! Great price for the options, and the customer service was wonderful. The ladies who looked after us were all so cheerful and checked in on us, taking away plates as we completed them. They do a fabulous G&T! Highly recommended, I’m coming back here for date day with my husband in future for sure! 🫶🏻

Wowee amazing food/wine/beer and service (thanks Layla) Party of 4 enjoyed a lovely Friday lunch and loved every single dish of the “Just feed me”.We did swap out the Eggplant for another dish having spoken to the very accommodating Layla. The least favourite dish was the chicken and it was tasty but gee the bar was set really high with all the other dishes. The only negative was we felt a bit rushed with meals coming out rather quickly but I am sure, had we said that we were not in a rush, it would have been resolved. Highly, highly recommend and will definitely be back again. Our interstate visitors were very impressed and will also definitely be back.

Remember that thing called customer service? Well our gorgeous waitress Nikita did! From her amazing recommendations (the short ribs were divine and the king fish *chef's kiss*) to her attentiveness to our dining needs, the Akita team clearly love and take pride in their job. An amazing dining experience!

My friends and I came from Sydney and were very excited to try Akiba especially the glowing reviews we have heard about the place. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed by how terrible the food is. We collectively ordered 5 dishes and all 5 was disappointing, dry, completely unseasoned (we were dependant on the condiments to make it flavourful.)

The service was pretty standard, the person who seated us was extremely rude to us though. The service from the girls however were fantastic. One of the corn fritters was unusually sour, and the girl serving us was prompt to exchange it for us. However it did take us a while to get the new one.

This place was such a poor take on fusion food, and it was evident that the restaurant's popularity was just riding the coattails of the trendiness of Japanese fusion food. The price point was not worth the quality of food that was put out. Maybe we were unlucky that the 5 specific dishes we chose was just poor in taste and quality, but I find that hard to believe.

My constructive criticism is if you're going to do an Asian fusion menu, please have the courtesy to season your food! Thank you.

Well crafted and delicious Japanese fusion. Every dish was well though out and delicious (although I would have enjoyed some salt and condiments on the table). The raw menu was particularly pleasing. Couple this with a fantastic sake list and engaging and knowledgeable sake sommelier and I can easily call this one of my favourite meals of recent times. Great ambiance in the outdoor area where we were seated, attentive but not fussy service, all over a great meal and experience. I also felt the value was quite high, 2 of us had two carafes of sake, a few beers and ciders, and 10 dishes and we were out for only $400. That is unheard of in 2024.
