Being lifelong independent travellers it was with hesitation we approached African Wildlife Safaris, AWS, for guidance on how to complete our 7 week, 4 country African wishlist with ease, comfort and confidence. An experienced African travel agent, Steve’s advice was spot on.
The recommended rest days between Safaris were welcomed. Not familiar with group travel we were happy to share one Safari with 4 other guests and “ lucked out” with private tours for the rest. The chosen Safaris delivered the animals and African experience we wanted.
One flight cancellation requiring a minor itinerary change was handled without any anxiety by us.
We recommend African Wildlife Safaris for African Travel.

Us 4 gals did a trip to Egypt & jordan in nov 24 / this trip we cancelled last yr because of the israeli war . Travelling this yr , we were still unsure , but getting there - at no time were we in danger or even saw signs of danger anywhere . This trip was all & more that we envisioned , AWS thought of every detail , our hotels were 6⭐️, the guides at every destination were knowledgeable , kind , thoughtful & funny/witty . From the pyramids .. the dahabiya cruise on the nile , petra .. wadi rum , abu simbel ... the dead sea ... a trip unforgettable .

Taj and Tigers tour is an excellent choice for those who enjoy small group travel
Natural Focus provide an excellent opportunity to experience National Parks and rural India staying at hotels and lodges of a high standard , located to provide the best opportunity to enjoy the very best of Indian food wildlife culture amazing birdlife and many of the main tourist attractions and temples
I had a wonderful trip including several close encounters with wild tigers

We were fortunate to have travelled with AWS on their “Sensational Zambia” tour in 2023, it was a magnificent experience. The animal encounters were terrific and so close, multiple leopards, lions, elephants, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest etc etc etc. Steve’s knowledge of the areas we went to together with the extraordinary local guides made each animal encounter so much better. For the majority of the time we were the only vehicle to be seen. This contrasts dramatically with other experiences I have had in Kenya and Tanzania where there can be 10 vehicles around some poor lion! The close up animal experiences plus the variety of landscapes and the very high quality accomodation and food in the various camps sets AWS apart from other operators.

Recently we took a trip of a lifetime, private 7 week safari to Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and The United Arab Emirates. This was professionally organised by Michael from AWS. All ran wonderfully without one problem alone the way. From Gorillas to the beach’s of Zanzibar, The Great Migration and fabulous game safaris and lodges, Michael’s ideas & planning was faultless. We totally recommend using this company.

International travel post Covid is now a reality thanks to the experts at African Wildlife Safaris (AWS). I have just returned from a wonderful 3 week safari in Zimbabwe where the itinerary and detailed arrangements crafted by the AWS team made this adventure just as exciting as my first African adventure also arranged by AWS over 20 years ago. A large congratulations to the staff at African Wildlife Safaris who I found to be exceptional operators in rearranging my several planned overseas trips that were booked pre-Covid.
A large nightmare in retrieving deposits, re-booking the same trips for 2021/2022 were expertly handled & I was always kept informed of progress without having to follow them up. Only one minor loss on a trip which was acceptable to me.
I have used this company for many years for trips to all continents & I have had nothing but friendly, professional & expert advice on all occasions.

I would like to thank the staff at AWS for the wonderful service they have provided me in rearranging my cancelled trips due to COVID. At a worrying time with many unknowns relating to COVID restrictions, it was a pleasure to deal with such professional staff.
