After spending hours researching online and even emailing African travel agents, I found Katrina. Wow, look no further. Her knowledge and expertise of all the African countries was so extensive, it blew me away. My sister and I were unsure what month to best travel in Africa, and Katrina talked us through country by country, the weather and best months to visit each region. Katrina then asked us in detail what experiences and things we most wanted to see and do.
She then presented us with the most amazing power point itinerary I’ve ever seen. We made a few changes here and there before we locked in an itinerary that suited our wish list and budget. We felt confident and reassured that everywhere we were staying Katrina had also stayed.
Within the first 5 days of our 3 week vacation, our expectations had been exceeded. This holiday was a life changing experience that should be on everyone’s bucket list.
From the moment we landed we were met at every stage of our journey. The hospitality of the locals and staff we encountered was so special. For example in Zimbabwe, every single local we encountered thanked us for choosing to visit Zimbabwe. There were so many special places and things we got to see that we didn’t even realise were a part of our itinerary. For example, visiting local villages, seeing such an abundance of wildlife up close, visiting a white rhinoceros sanctuary, meeting the Maasai people, and visiting an elephant orphanage, just to name a few.
Africa is such a beautiful, vast and unique continent. We truly felt the extraordinary passion that Katrina has for Africa, and understood that the company name “African Expert” isn’t just a catchy name it is a 100% true definition of Katrina and her wonderful service and expertise.

Under the expert guidance and meticulous organisation of Katrina, we travelled to Africa in 2022. Katrina prepared and comprehensively coordinated an incredible African holiday for my sister and I. She is extremely knowledgeable on the country and suggested wonderful places to visit.

Our 3 week African holiday included safaris in South Africa (in Kruger National Park), Zimbabwe (in Hwange National Park) and in Kenya (in the Masai Mara region) plus several other tours in Johannesburg, Victoria Falls and Nairobi.

Katrina was super friendly, thorough and easy to deal with. She provided us additional information on expected weather conditions, travel packing list, places to eat, and approximate tipping amounts required.
