An abysmal lack of service & no interest in addressing problems. ?
We had an 11 night booking at the Mantra at Ettalong & arrived on Sunday. The estate agent listed for key collection was closed & the details had been texted to the correct phone number. ? Thankfully the Mantra reception desk were able to contact someone as the advertised number did not call back. ? We were facing returning back to Sydney. ?
The worst part was the state of the apartment! Filthy used bedding & towels stacked in the tub & a fridge that had not been defrosted in months. ❄️
The staff in the office the following day were totally disinterested. The comment about the problems (see images) was basically "so what's the issue". ?
We didn't pay over $2,234 to have to move filthy laundry & defrost the fridge with a hair dryer.?

Booking was easy but lots of miscommunication from different staff members about check in processes and requesting late checkout, etc. Also quite annoying to have to drive 10 min to/from the office to collect and return keys. Would be great if another way to check in and check out could be considered.
Amenities - lots available but we didn’t use much (massage chair, games, wifi, smart tv, sauna, spa, kayaks, bicycles). Indoor and outdoor speakers. Good ducted AC. Lots of fans inside and outside. All bedrooms have fans and TVs. Outdoor shutters on all 3 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. Full laundry and kitchen. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.
Location - fabulous view out the back and from inside the house. Nothing in walking distance and unsafe to walk along most of the main road. 5-10 min drive to many nearby shops, beaches and cafes. Car traffic noise can be annoying at night if you’re a light sleeper even with the shutters down. Surprised how many cars drive past at all hours.
Cleanliness - house and linen very clean. Coffee machine wasn’t (excess coffee and pods left in machine). Spa was absolutely DISGUSTING and not sanitised after previous guests - the water smelled and was murky, very gross and unhygienic so we didn’t use it which was very disappointing since it was the main reason we booked this place in winter. Spa maintenance guy unexpectedly turned up on our last morning (just walked into the backyard while we were still there) and also commented on how bad the water was - informed us that he comes every 2 weeks!! Guests before us left it in a very bad state. All we got was an apology from Accom…which is also disappointing. I highly recommend that in future the spa is cleaned/checked prior to every new check-in.
Lots of bird/duck visitors which was nice. Also enjoyed all day sun on the back deck.
If check in process is changed and the spa is cleaned better I would stay here again.

Wow! I just had the best accommodation ever, when I stayed at the Contemporary Penthouse in Ettalong Beach. The Staff at Accom Holidays found me a great place and did everything they could to accommodate my needs during my stay. Every request, every question and every visit to the office was met with thoughtful, friendly and attentive service, thank you ladies. My accommodation was perfect. I was absolutely delighted by the layout, views, facilities and the location, close to everything. A short walk up the road to Ocean Beach SLC for great morning coffee. A little bit further and you're at Umina shops where there are a host of great eateries and shopping for everyone. The penthouse had everything we needed and the ability to separate and have our own spaces when we wanted. The views were amazing, ocean, hills and even the urban outlook was good. With balconies that wrap around the penthouse, you can have sun all day. On one side you could play bowls, the other cook a BBQ and then settle down at the front with your feed to unobstructed views over Broken Bay to Pittwater and out to sea. I could sit out there for hours watching the never ending procession of people walking, running, cycling. I’m sure some were looking up wishing there were me. Every weekend brought the boats, swimmers and surfers, one weekend there were over 50 kite surfers going everywhere. At night you could see the moon glistening on the water and go to sleep hearing the soothing sound of waves breaking right out front. I didn’t want to leave. I was fortunate to meet the owner Josie, she made me feel very welcome and I thank her for allowing me to stay at her fabulous place. What a great stay!

booking was very easy, staff very friendly , we did have few issue with the property(MANTRA hotel) but they try the best they could do and fixed , my opinion you should not take any property for rent if the landlord don't care to spend any $$ to keep the property update and clean .

Booked for the June long weekend 9th to the 12th, was rung up on the 8th and told maintenance works were being carried out at the property and would have to cancel our accomodation. Offered “like” properties, one of which was a fibro that was not even comparable even with location. Made a tentative on one of the properties they recommended then was told to hurry up and make a decision as other families were wanting to book it as well. Tried calling their management team and director Andrew.t. Left a message and still no response. Well that was my experience thanks but no thanks, btw we still waiting for our full refund!

I’m hoping others will see this review and not stay at this property! The management team has let the property rundown. We stayed for two nights and paid top dollar and the essentials such as aircon wasn’t working! No spare toilet roles, no tissues, dirty, cobwebs everywhere, and the cutlery and plates all had food stains on them! Yuk! I have stayed at the mantra before directly and had no issues with their room but this real estate who manages this penthouse privately have clearly not looked after it. I complained about the aircon as I’m 8 months pregnant along with a toddler who is as sleeping in that room and it was over 30 degrees! Not even a fan supplied. I cleaned the vents myself and they were so dusty it still didn’t fix the problem, the handyman came and basically said it’s an old machine.. what a joke I can’t believe I paid over $600 a night to not even have a aircon that works. Will never book with with this agency again

I organised a getaway with my sisters and mum with our kids and not only did the Jewel accommodation deliver it exceeded expectation. Large spacious area and because the weather was quite windy and cold we spent a lot of time indoors and the room with the kids was enough for everyone to have space.
Only would recommend extra toilet rolls and appropriate washing sponges and detergent for dishes, with large amount of people staying there would be more accommodating. But all in all fantastic time and Owners living upstairs were friendly and lovely! Would recommend this place 100% and will definitely come back

Our friends recommended this accommodation and it exceeded our expectations in every way. It was like home away from home with a lovely neighbor (Liz - the owner). On arrival the cabin was clean, had all the amenities (and more - for example - washing powder, salt and pepper, etc) and plenty of room for everything. Liz was very friendly and very respectful of our privacy. We soon felt very comfortable and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
