The room was nice. Lots of utensils, kitchen items, and large range of household items. Plus, a nice variety of tea/coffee/hot chocolate options, and a good size milk bottle. The bathroom and shower were very nice.

Nice and close to the Kingston train station.

Not far from the Parliament house. Not too hard to commute to the CBD.

I could see the Parliament House Flag from my window, which was nice.

Only issue: the fork utensil was missing.

Improvements: perhaps add an additional pillow option (for people who like thinner pillows).

The Abode in Kingston is a great place to stay. The room has everything you need and more. The bed is so comfortable and the set up of the room is also great. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone to stay here. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™‚

The cleanliness of the hotel needs to be improved. The customer service was very disappointing. Before booking, I called to inquire about bringing a pet, and the front desk told me there would be no extra charge and did not mention that a specific room type was required for pets. I noted that I would be bringing a pet in my booking but did not receive any information about the terms and conditions for pet stays or any important details. However, upon check-in, I was informed that there would be a pet fee, which is understandable. But I was also forced to upgrade the room and charged extra for it. What's worse, I had booked two rooms, and only one of them was for a pet, yet both rooms were upgraded without consultation, and I was charged additional fees for both. If I had known the experience would involve so much drama and hidden fees, I would have opted for a higher-end hotel with better service for a lower price. I likely wonโ€™t stay here again, and I hope this review helps future guests.

Clean, well appointed rooms. Only issue is that the reception desk is only open for (at most) 12 hrs/day. But they have a 24hr number you can call and they can help with most urgent matters (locked out of room/building). Very safe and secure accommodations in a lovely area.

This is in a great location and it's very quiet for a good night's sleep. 1 min walk to shops, restaurants & supermarket. Overall we had no major problems during our stay. A few minor things eg no clothes hangers in wardrobes, no extra towels or pillows, had to ask to have rubbish bins empitied on a 3 night stay. Part of the shower screen was missing & no explanation for this. Disappointed that I had to pay extra for a balcony room, but it wasn't wide enough to put a chair out on to sit on. Staff were friendly when we asked for things.

Great location near restaurants and the supermarket. A well priced apartment, clean, well maintained room with laundry and kitchen. Parking is reasonable and easy. There are some 3p parking spaces available near the hotel and free parking after 6 pm. Staff are friendly.

There was no one at the front desk at check in. It was 2:25pm, kinda an important time for all hands on deck. I called the number on the sign and a mobile rang behind the counter. We waited a while. I eventually called the switch board and basically cut my own key over the phone. Departing wasnโ€™t much better. They took my key and we went to go down the elevator, which you canโ€™t do without the key. I would think staff would be aware of that. We had to come back and ask to be let down. Not the most situationally aware staff. The room was oddly shaped and poorly designed. We couldnโ€™t open cupboards because of furniture in the way. There was also no casting on the TV. I felt like I was staying in a hostel or student accommodation. Way overpriced for what it was. They need to lower their prices or pick up their game.

I stayed at Abode for a night 25/01-26/01. I was pleasantly surprised that my standard room had a stovetop and cooking utensils pan + spatula. It also had a toilet brush which most hotels do not. Goes above and beyond what a conventional hotel provides.

10-15m walk to Kingston train station if youโ€™re catching intercity TrainLink like I did. Nearby bus option to get into CBD. Shops and restaurant around.

Facilities feel new and well-maintained. Friendly staff. Not too costly either. If I visit Canberra again, I will stay here.
