Amazing Hotel. Perfect location. You will find anything you need around. Easy access to public transportation. Check in and check out smooth and friendly. Ladies at the counter so professional, polite & friendly. Housekeeping is doing a great job keeping the rooms tidy and impeccable. My stay was unexpected and short but you are my house from now on in canberra.

We needed a pet friendly place over Christmas and we were pleasantly surprise by how clean everything was, the rooftop with a large grass area for dogs to do their business. The rooms had a decent size for a big bed and a courtyard area (thought we wish it had immediate access to the rooftop as we had to walk the entire way around). The parking was really useful and the woolies metro just across the road was great. The restaurant or food options weren't available over Christmas but we can't wait to go again and try it out.

Rooms at Abode Belconnen are well equipped (washers/dryer!) and have comfortable bedding. The location is terrific with a Woolies market across the street. Our major gripe is the harassment by security. Our family booked four rooms for three nights so we could spread ashes of a deceased relative and share our hometown with the next generation. Security was incredibly aggressive, inconsiderate and rude. We were a larger group, but were never loud or obnoxious. We were harassed in the pool, in the loading area outside the hotel and in the lobby over the course of three days. When we were actually in need of assistance due to an intoxicated person who was not a guest bothering a member of our party, the security officer who arrived assumed our group was the problem. This was perhaps because some of our family are of island heritage? Having traveled across the globe to be here, I was incredibly offended and disappointed. We spoke to reception once about this issue, but no follow up occurred. Additionally, when checking out, we were not asked about the stay.

Location was very good. Pet friendly
Understandably we stayed over a public holiday and not much was open, and this is why we chose the hotel for its pool facilities, however the pool was closed due to "maintenance " which was so inconvenient with a 1 year old. Staff at the front were very rude when asking why. We requested a room service for the next day and left and returned at lunch time and the room was not clean, when we queried with the front desk the response " it's a public holiday" despite signs saying "cleaning will be done by request only" which we requested at 9am that morning. Overall the stay was fine but I would not return. And perhaps they could do with some more friendly staff.

Gym and pool are available which I would love to try next time because it looked popular as I saw many guests keen for it.

The vibe is quite metropolitan like, so if you would like to travel around Canberra with something more vibrant. Abode Belconnen may be ideal to u.

23 bucks for big breakfast with a nice long black is fair enough based on my experience.

Labor club is next door if you would like to enjoy responsible gambling. If you don’t like gambling, there’s a skateboard ground and a park nearby for different sorts of entertainment.

Along the Emu bank, which is another animal opposite to Kangaroo to be the symbol of Australia, there are nice restaurants offering fast foods or cultural cuisine.

Belconnen Art Centre is there too, while the shopping mall nearby also has a movie theatre.

It’s a great place to host your overseas friends visiting Canberra. They are usually busy, so a flash catching up can make everyone happy and heartwarming.

Easy to be found and park. So no worries that you would get lost unless whatever GPS system you use decide to give you a hard day.

What else? I guess you just need to book right now to enjoy this multicultural precinct.

Alternatively, Abode Woden is good too.

Great location and the rooms are an excellent size.
Bed was very comfortable. Apartment was extremely clean and well kitted out.
My only grip would be that the pictures show an expresso pod machine in the kitchen but this is not a reality and you only get sachets of coffee!! I think a tad poor for an apartment at this value and when picture how this as a standard fixture in rooms.
Great to have the washing machine.
Location, location and extremely friendly and accommodating staff.
Will definitely stay again

Room is quite small. Like really small. It's a pet-friendly hotel, however, there is nothing for my bub in the room. There was no dog bowl or anything dog-friendly about the room other than my dog can stay there with us though there was a tiny grass area close to the pool where they can wander.
Also, the bed was too soft for us. My back and neck was so uncomfortable. There was also an accident with glass falling so we weren't able to use the pool which was unfortunate.

Really worthwhile stay in comfortable apartment with downstairs restaurant serving good range of drinks and meals, and very well priced breakfast deal. Good swimming pool with gym and sauna, and secure, covered on-site parking. Great service.
