Back in the day, I use to seek out the best of motels, but now we have a dog we have no choice but to stay where we can.
Whilst this motel is old as, the rooms have been modernised to a degree, with new bathrooms and yes the bathroom is tight, but they are nice and clean.
Overall, we had a nice stay and the reception lady was lovely.
So if you have a dog and need a place in Bathurst, stay here.

This is since motel run by a very obliging family. Rooms are reasonably priced, and clean. Bed is excellent, and the decor matches the facility. Was here for extended stay during COVID-19, and noticed they were very obliging and allowed people with animals and groups of workers. Motel is well located and quiet. Highly recommended.

I’ve stayed here 4 times now when attending residential weeks at CSU and found it to be exceptional value for money (much better than student residences on campus). The beds are very comfortable, rooms are super clean, furniture is modern and practical and it is very quiet at night. The owner is very friendly and obliging. I would recommend this motel to anyone looking for good value accommodation. |There is a very reasonably priced breakfast available as well although I haven’t tried this.

This motel doesn't look much from the outside but the rooms are very clean and tasteful. New carpet, crisp white sheets and a comfortable bed make this a welcoming stay. The room I was in was not overly spacious but more than adequate for one person or a couple. Whilst the motel is just off the highway, I hardly heard a thing all night. If you are looking for somewhere to bunk down overnight in Bathurst at a reasonable price, this is the place.

The Abercrombie Motel is run by the owners/operators of the Explorers Motel, directly across the highway. All of its rooms are ground-floor, and at check-in at the Explorers was offered up the stairs here or park in front of your ground-floor unit across the road. A no-brainer. ||No complaints about the room. It was clean, a good size, nicely appointed, and boasted MW oven and toaster, and a large flat-screen TV. No shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom but as this is very much a budget establishment that was fine. What was a problem was the wi-fi, reception, which (while 'free') was virtually non-existent in the room. Had to sit on the smokers' bench outside the room to pick up a signal.

I stayed there last weekend on a motorcycle trip with my partner and another couple. Each double room was 98 for the night and although small it was clean and tidy. Parking is directly outside the room. Breakfast is across the road at the Bathurst Explorer Hotel ( same owners ). You can have continental for $5 or there is a cooked breakfast menu which is very reasonable priced considering what they give you. The lovely young lady behind the counter can't do enough for you. Thanks guys. We'll be back !

Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. The rooms and bathrooms are small and simple, but clean and if you just want a bed and shower and don't expect to spent much time in your room this is ideal. I was in town for two days of golf with a friend and we had no complaints.

Had booked at the Explorers Motel across the street but got a room here, the owners are the same so they share rooms. This, however, means that you have to cross the street to get to the breakfast room - a minor inconvenience.

The staff were very friendly and, at the price, the rooms where nice and comfortable.
