Stayed three nights ground floor front room. Great location opposite the beach, very pleasant small deck to sit on and watch the ocean, enough room inside to move the table and chairs to still sit and watch the view when cold. Great bed, good heating. Very good crossiants supplied for breakfast. Definitely go back if in Bermagui again.

Location was superb. Could see the ocean and bay from the room directly across the road out our window - superb view. Great pub next door (good atmosphere, recently renovated, modern, great views of the bay, great food, good live music) and yet it didn't keep me awake, despite going to bed about 10:30pm. Cafes within metres out the front door. Relatively short stroll to marina. The room itself is old but clean and nice, and it's perfectly functional. It's also spacious, comfortable and light. The owner Pam is elderly (75+?), takes no crap and is a real 'character' - don't mess with her - we liked her. Car Park area is secure. Very happy we booked here.

Normally I would prefer modern, but this dated property has an unusual appeal. The room was comfortable and clean and had a great view over the ocean, the park and the hills too. Pam, the owner, was very helpful, cheerful and chatty. I note in another traveller's review they mentioned "the security chat", well we got that too lol :). I was concerned about being next to the hotel, but it didn't bother us at all, in fact it was very peaceful in the evening. It's a great location close to shops etc. We'll be back.

Excellent location, comfortable new bed, very clean and well cared for. Off street parking. Yes, it’s a time capsule from the 80s, but it’s immaculate and the woman who owns and runs it is a great character - she built it 40 years ago! Through 2019 bushfires then pandemic, people and places like this that survived need our support!

stayed for 1 night in march. the decor of the rooms would be best described as 70s to 80s. furniture is also old fashioned and dated.||||good - the bed was comfortable and the room that i stayed in was clean. it is close to the shops and eating establishments||||bad - there is limited facilities to wash and hang your clothes. no outdoor hose to wash your feet after going to the beach. smoking is allowed outside the rooms and we had smoke smell permeate into our room. you cannot park your car directly outside your room.||||ugly - the manager/owner (pam) can be quite unfriendly. during the tathra bushfires, pam put up a "no vacancy" sign, even though a number of the rooms were unlet (but it is also possible that she wasn't the only bermagui establishment that did this).||||due to the tathra bushfires, we were stranded for 1 night and desperate - we did not have much of our personal belongings because we had to evacuate from tathra with little warning and a lot of acccommodation was booked out in surrounding areas. pam had no problems in charging us full price (at peak rates - $160/night for 2 people) and expecting us to pay straight away. i am not sure if she did this to others.||||after checking out, driving to the bega evacuation centre, queueing for 2.5 hours to get all the necessary government paperwork for our 1 night's accommodation to be reimbursed, i rang the hotel before i drove from bega to bermagui to see if the office would be attended.||||luckily, i did this because pam told me that her credit card machine was unable to process refunds, she would not accept the government paperwork to get reimbursed, told me that she couldn't help me further and was on another phone call and hung up in my ear. to get reimbursed, all that was required was to spend $1 for a stamp, post the paperwork to the government and wait 6 weeks for the cheque to be mailed out. ||||it was disappointing to experience this sort of attitude, particularly in these terrible circumstances.||||i stayed at other accommodation and they were more than happy to accept the paperwork to get the accommodation reimbursed by the government.||||if you are desperate for last minute bermagui accommodation, i would consider other establishments before coming here. even without pam's attitude, i would have to say that the room was also not good value for money.

Bermagui was a stop on the way home to break a long trip and enjoy the country side. The Beach view Motel was a surprise as it was quaint. The motel is owned and run by Pam who is meticulous and is very proud of her facility which she has operated all its life.||The rooms were very clean and the beds great to sleep in.. There is off street parking which was very welcome. A very enjoyable stay

This is a nice and cozy hotel in a lazy (in a good wau) town of Bermagui. We were in the room with a beach view. Though the upper floor would have been ideal. There is enough parking spots. The pub is only a few meters away and there are few more eating options on the Bunga street.
Pam who is the host is absolutely amazing. She made our check-in smooth and is also a good local guide. I would have loved to spend another day but was pressed for time.
Overall an excellent stay.
