Wonderful experience. The hosts were so helpful and did all they could to accommodate us. We did the rapids. The only thing I wished for was perhaps a slightly slower trip…we did it in three hours instead of four, and a stop somewhere for lunch and a break with a swim. The river and surrounds are beautiful and I recommend it highly as a fun thing to do any day…rain, hail or shine!

Beautiful canoe trip down the Bellingen River with Daniel our fabulous and informative guide! Such a special place and a relaxing afternoon, watching cattle cross the river, spotting water dragons and enjoying croissants, fruit and a well earned drink after canoeing. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful afternoon paddling up the river with Daniel, it was just so peaceful with all the beautiful nature around us.
Daniel was really informative whilst we were paddling along.
It ended on the garden with lovely hot croissants, jam and fruit.

My wife and I booked a trip with Bellingen Canoe Adventures during our stay in Bellingen. Daniel, the owner, ensured it was the most pleasant experience from beginning to end, starting with the suggestion to bring our dog along (which after some initial nerves he eventually enjoyed...), guiding us through the beautiful riverscape, explaining the history and features of the waterways and surrounding areas, and taking and sharing some nice photos of and for us to take home.
This tour was certainly one of the highlights of our stay in Bellingen, and we can highly recommend to book a guided tour with Bellingen Canoe Adventures if you are in the area.

Friendly people, beautiful grounds, lovely river. However. Enjoy it more: Go with another person. Get a double canoe even if you're going on your own so you have leg room. Do one hour, not two: it gets hot. There's no tie for canoe at end, so be prepared for an extra 'adventure' of rescuing canoe if it drifts away. After two hours, cramped in a one person, the extra 30-40 min of that was an 'adventure' story I can laugh about...now. Seeing the cows is fun. Best value canoe hire around.

My friend and I booked this the day before and we were the only ones on the Sunset tour. Had the best one hour enjoying the calm river and beautiful sunset. He also took really nice pictures of us and it was one of the highlights of our road trip in NSW. Can’t recommend this place enough!
