Jes Barkman with Knotted Events is absolutely the sweetest person and so amazing at what she does! She had so many creative ideas and was incredibly supportive throughout the whole process, helping me think through the small details I might have missed. We had a super small wedding, and while I did most of the planning myself, Jes was a lifesaver with last-minute details I hadn’t considered. Whether you’re planning a big wedding or something more intimate, I can’t recommend Jes enough for all your wedding planning needs!

I cannot say enough good things about Jes at Knotted Events! Throughout our wedding planning process, hiring Jes was single handedly one of the best decisions we made right out of the gate. Her confidence in what our day could become allowed us to always feel reassured from the very beginning and in return, lead to one of the best days EVER. Her attention to detail is unmatched and she was consistent in her communication with us when life outside of wedding planning got busy. Where to begin... I came across Jes with Knotted Events when I initially reached out about a wedding venue she manages. After a few conversations, I discovered she also offers wedding planning services. Once we secured our dream venue, thanks to an unexpected open weekend from a postponed wedding, we realized we only had four months to plan. Booking Jes was one of the best decisions we made. With over a decade of wedding planning experience across Colorado, her expertise truly shone through. She worked tirelessly to help us find an amazing team of vendors. Somewhere along the way, the stress hit hard, and we attempted to find some vendors on our own—bride brain! In the end, it all worked out, but if we had listened to Jes from the start, we could have avoided so much unnecessary stress. There’s something about her voice that calmed my bridal nerves every single time we spoke. From the very beginning, she asked all the right questions (even some tough ones that made us really think about how we wanted our big day to look), ensured we didn’t overlook any details, and made sure everything was perfect. Her communication is top-notch, and I’d recommend her to anyone planning a wedding. Thank you, Jes—we absolutely could not have pulled off our dream day in just four months without you!

Jes was all that plus the cherry on top! From the first day we met, she was organized, professional, had great style and recommendations, and she showed that she really cared about making our day exactly what we wanted it to be. Jes is well versed in all things wedding and it shows in her knowledge and attention to detail in helping you create your dream wedding. She also has wonderful network of vendors who support her and who she supports as well. She answers calls, texts and emails at all hours and goes out of her way to make you feel like you are a great friend who she has known for years. Our day of would not have gone as smooth without all of her help and her commitment to us in making our wedding day the BEST DAY EVER. We would recommend Jes any day of the week if you are looking for a planner who will stand by your side throughout the entire process. She may even shed a tear watching you walk down the aisle, as she puts her heart and soul into what she does. We could not think of a better person to have along for the crazy ride that is wedding planning!

If I could give Jes more than a 5-star review, I would. When my wedding planner fell through the cracks within 30 days of my wedding date, Jes was the most helpful, supportive, and resourceful person I could have asked for. She was quick to jump on a phone call with me within minutes of reaching out to her for help. Jes took the time to go through all of my documents and conversations with my planner & coached me through what I need to do from this point moving forward. Before I was connected with Jes, I was completely lost, stressed, and felt like my wedding was going to fall apart. After speaking with Jes , I felt like everything is going to be okay and that I have support no matter what happens from here. Jes reached out to several wedding planners to help me find someone to replace the one I was working with. Eventually I was able to get out of my contract with my previous planner & found one that made me feel much more secure and comfortable. I couldn't have made it to where I am today without the help from Jes at Knotted Events. Jes is a true gem, and her passion for her work is evident. Although we didn’t require her consultation services due to where we were in our wedding planning, she still went out of her way to refer us to the remaining vendors we were looking for—one or two of whom we ended up hiring! She immediately understood the vibe we had envisioned and knows the Colorado/Moab wedding landscape like the back of her hand, guiding us to the best people for our needs.

Where to even begin?! Hiring Jes as a bride out in the Midwest to help plan a wedding at the beautiful GMR, made the process of figuring out who to use as vendors and coordinators a breeze. She was incredibly thoughtful, insightful, and helped guide my vision to the hands of the right people! She was always a phone call away with any my concerns or questions and helped settle my “new bride nerves” as I started planning our destination wedding. Her knowledge of all the local vendors to use in Ouray, to her experience at GMR is unmatched! She is incredibly thorough and organized, and was always considerate to what I had in my mind for our special day. My fiancé and I are so grateful for her and all she did for us in this planning process! Far or local, she is the gal to get in contact with to make sure you get everything and more for your wedding!
