Couldn't fault this motel! The manager was super helpful. We were just there for one night on our way to the Tweed Region from Sydney.
The room was basic, very clean, and the beds were comfy.
We arrived late evening, and were very grateful for a nice hot shower in a clean bathroom!!!

As a comfortable place to break our journey up the coast this was perfect. Clean and tidy, with great service we will come again. Beds were comfortable, tea, coffee and a few biscuits. A toaster so you can make your own breaky. We went across the road in the morning to the golf club Cafe which was very handy.

The motel is a bit older, but in good condition, reasonably priced, and comfortable with both air conditioning and a ceiling-mounted fan. It also has a decent fridge, microwave, and toaster, etc. I also really liked that the room came with its own covered carport. It is a couple of kilometers from the centre of of town, but as it caters predominantly for travellers (with their own transport), this is not really an issue. For those heading north (i.e. towards Coffs Harbour, Brisbane. etc.), it is only about a kilometre from the entrance to the M1 north (i.e. you don't have to go all the way through Kempsey and out the other side before getting back on the highway).

Paula was quite kind, when I called to book our stay regarding our pet. We arrived prior to check-in time. Wendy was willing to let us check in early. We were very grateful. Wendy showed compassion for our reason for visiting for the weekend. Our room was extremely clean & fresh. Linen was beautiful & extra pillows. The room is tastefully decorated. An enjoyable stay

Great overnight stay in an older but immacuately clean hotel room. Comfortable beds, good fan and aircon, TV and free wifi. All that we needed for a stop on the way through. Good dinner at the nearby RSL at the hotel manager's recommendation.

Soild 3 stars, on the highway, the parking is open and seen from the highway, not exactly safe, nothing to do, no gates or a way to keep people out. Was there for a night and didn't see anyone, including staff. I did feel unsafe as we were on the highway, and the parking was not safe either but 3 stars for the room, no bath, and very small. But I did have a fridge and tea pot, okay for a resting spot. Nothing special. Okay, for just one night. TV is OK too. 2 stars for location as you can drive to places but nothing to do and backed onto a forest with lots on kangaroos and lots on poo on the grass too. Overall, it's a solid ok.

I keep going back to the Fairway Lodge Motel Kempsey for an overnight stay when on the Highway, to break up my journey. Whilst the decor is a bit dated, it is extremely clean. Bed linen is fresh and clean.||Fresh milk is available in the fridge, and generous quantities of tea/coffee/biscuits are provided. The location is semi-rural and quiet, overlooking paddocks and nature. Some of the units have carports attached.||This is my go-to place to stay in Kempsey.
