An absolute highlight of our central west trip to Dubbo Zoo. Spent a delightful afternoon paddling and exploring, jumping off rocks and cooling off. Southern Cross Kayaking run a fantastic operation, great gear, very friendly and accommodating good people. We bought kayaks once we got home so we could keep kayaking! The ultimate endorsement.

The kayak and equipment were in excellent condition, and the instructions provided beforehand ensured a smooth experience. The tour itself was conducted with genuine passion, combining both kayaking and an exploration of the area’s rich history.

My friends and I went on a tour at the start of the season in the morning and we had an amazing time! Cindy was absolutely lovely and made the entire experience comfortable while clearly, and beautifully explaining historic stories about the area. Would definitely recommend!!

Such a wonderful place to kayak!

The owners are very friendly and very helpful. Would recommend this place for all experienced levels.

Able to easily make it in a small 2 wheel drive.

I’ve done the tour twice, once on the Friday evening and a second time for the morning tour. Both where excellent.
The paddling was not difficult at all, and Cindy and John make the whole experience great.
The views as you paddle down to the dam are just sensational.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience, really amazing views of rock formation. We did an hour upstream towards the dam which was stunning. Above all John & Cindy were the best hosts, such a lovely people who will look after you!
