I have been here for nearly two weeks TKR . During my stay I have only had great care from the nurses and physiotherapist also all the other people involved with the smooth running of this unique rehab hospital. The food is excellent like home cooked meals. The rooms are spotless and well maintained. The nurses and physiotherapists take a personal interest in your well being always asking about pain levels and helping get you through the physio sessions. There is always a kind word , smile or friendly gesture from everyone I meet here. I would recommend royal rehab to anyone needing care after a operation. Regards greg

I am so grateful to Royal Rehab Petersham Private for helping my 79 year old brother get back on his feet after being very sick and losing over 20 kilos. Unfortunately previously he was in another Rehabilitation hospital where they hardly did any Physio, since moving to Petersham Rehab he is putting on some of the weight he had lost he loves the food, and he is walking better thanks to the Physio he receives. The things that stand out at Petersham Royal Rehab is the cleanliness of the rooms and corridors. The nurses and all staff are very polite and welcoming.

I recently spent just over two weeks at this centre. My experience was amazing. My physio was Georgina and she is professional and caring. Georgina helped me enormously and I am eternally grateful.
All the other physios are professional, caring and encouraging.
I am in the best physical condition that I have been in the last 10 years.
The nurses and the staff are professional, kind and caring.
The food was good and the staff were great.
A big thank you to Royal Rehab Private Petersham for providing me with a exceptional experience

I was on the phone to my mother and heard the staff speak to my mother who suffers from dementia horribly. They wouldn't take her to the bathroom when she needed and as a result ended back up in hospital with severe constipation and bladder problems.
She also had $50 disappear from her bedside drawer.
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

My wife recently spent two weeks there. Over many years she has been both an in patient and a day patient. The medical/nursing/physo/service staff were outstanding. Unfortunately the standard of the food was not up to previous stays, this may have been because she was on a soft diet.

My 97 year old mum had two stays in Metro recently. We could not praise this hospital enough. It is staffed with amazing, caring people who genuinely care about their patients as individuals, treating them with dignity and compassion. Private rooms were very good and the food was exceptional.

Very poor service
Sessions are never one hour, but half an hour if even

They Keep patients inside hospital with no allowance for any outings.
Food is OK,, but they refill bottles of water from tape or cooler without telling you unless you ask.
They force you to buy a walking frame from the hospital as a condition of discharge for a $170.00
They missed up with my first and last name during my stay and as result I have to pay for the blood pathology during my stay.

What an incredible journey with the amazing humans at Metro rehab. My husband comes home tomorrow after 6 months recovering from a major stroke, he was carried out on a stretcher and he will proudly be walking back in when he comes home tomorrow. He spent 5 months in Metro.
I wish I had a short list of names of the the staff that were instrumental in his incredible recovery, but I don't, because every single person on the nursing staff, the rehab team, the social workers and support staff significantly contributed to Steves recovery and to get Steve to where he is today.
The support, care compassion and empathy from the team, made the journey our family was going through so much more bearable.
Even through a 3 week covid lockdown the team stayed in good spirits and did a great job caring for everyone and each other.
In terms of rehabilitation it was consistent and relevant, and communication was great, I knew exactly how Steves progress was going, even the setbacks he endured through his journey. The team on the rehab floor are very special, and every session with them really brightened Steves day.
The counselling and advice that Aimee helped Steve with, really helped us get over the many physical and mental recovery bumps he had along the way. I also really appreciated the checking in and concern for my welfare as well, it was over and above what we expected.
And the Nursing team, they are angels, with exceptional presence and availability and care, truly so great.
We are thrilled that we will be continuing Steves recovery journey as an outpatient with his Metro family.
Thankyou team from the bottom of my heart, thank-you so much for helping my husband recover and getting him back home to us in such great mental and physical condition.
