Lived at Flo for a couple of years and it was a lovely place to softly land into Sydney living from the country. Would highly recomend to anyone moving out of home and looking to make friends, have fun, live somewhere safe and grow as a person.

As an international resident i was very satisfied with my stay at Flo some years ago. I got ample opportunities to experience local culture and food, as well as enjoy the "countryside" ambience & beautiful heritage buildings that make Flo an interesting accommodation. i found the Christmas in August and river harbour cruise particularly special.

TIP: if you visit Sydney during springtime, I suggest that you stay here to for a beautiful Jacaranda view. This lodge has a large jacaranda tree in its backyard that would turn into purple blooms in late spring to early summer.

Great place to quickly make friends from different places, especially if you’re from interstate or overseas! I have a number of good friends that I still hang out with after moving out. I came from overseas myself and living here introduced to me so much of Aussie culture, slang and real wildlife threats like drop bears ;). A quick way to know how to act like a local if you are not one already!

If you were like me and didn’t like putting in the effort to buy groceries, carry them all the way home and cook, this is the place to be. They cook a variety of dishes and it changes each week. They were delicious too!

I loved the community and the place heaps that I stayed for 3 years! Definitely recommend!
